The Mittal family performs Devi Maa’s Navratri Pooja. Panditji informs Omkar that Matarani’s first-day Pooja is complete. Lavanya asks Panditji to bless her newlywed daughter-in-law and son to have a future heir soon. Omkar requests Panditji to bless his elder daughter-in-law and son first. They both take Panditji’s blessings. Once Panditji leaves, Lavanya gives gifts to Neelima and then to Jahnvi, blessing Jahnvi to bear her future heir soon, as she is the only daughter-in-law of the Mittal family. Omkar confronts her, stating that she should expect her rightful heir from Chirag and his wife first. Lavanya insists that she does not consider Deepika as her daughter-in-law at all, comparing her to dirt that no one wants to accept. Omkar fails to persuade her.
Deepika remarks that a lotus grows in dirt, emphasizing that a child can never be considered dirt. She assures that her child will belong to the entire family and will receive both maternal and grandmotherly love. She expresses her confidence in having a rightful heir with Chirag. Omkar blesses Deepika, wishing that her children will be well-cultured and brave like her, bringing pride to the family name. Lavanya storms away in anger, followed by other family members.
Deepika returns to her room with Chirag and notices him seething with anger. Chirag questions her about whether her father informed her about his condition before their marriage and why she promised his mother a heir. Deepika reassures him that she knows everything and was merely protecting him. He expresses his trust in her and thanks her. She emphasizes that they are a team and he should have faith in her.
Jahnvi calls Yashwant, asking him to inform Shobha and Manorama that she is coming home. Prithvi romantically embraces her, but she pushes him away. He becomes upset, saying she is acting as if he is some roadside goon. She lies, claiming that she feels shy about intimacy and needs time until she returns from paghpheras. He agrees. Meanwhile, she contemplates eliminating him to end her troubles and imagines Lavanya and Chirag threatening to send her to jail for the act, while Deepika mocks her. As Deepika walks by, instructing florists on how to decorate Prithvi and Jahnvi’s room for their suhagraat, Jahnvi thinks about killing Deepika instead.
