Neelima informs Lavanya that Shobha called her, mentioning that she is coming over. Lavanya asks her to manage Shobha, as she can’t stand her. Deepika brings tea for Lavanya, who yells at her. Shobha enters with Yashwant and Manorama, greeting Lavanya. Yashwant presents a broach to Prithvi, stating that while he isn’t as wealthy as Lavanya to shower gifts, he brought his father’s broach for Prithvi and wants her to let him wear it on his outfit, making it priceless.
Lavanya instructs Saloni to bring Prithvi’s outfit and show it to Yashwant, emphasizing that it’s worth 9 lakhs, while Yashwant’s broach is cheap and would diminish its value. She harshly humiliates Yashwant, asserting that Prithvi will never wear his inexpensive broach. Prithvi interjects, saying he will wear it. Deepika adds that her grandfather’s broach is sentimental and asks Lavanya to let Chirag wear it, making it invaluable. Manorama remarks that Deepika is insulting her mother-in-law. Lavanya brutally humiliates Deepika again, stating that soon she will have a devrani/DIL and should stop getting carried away, or she will end up with a rude awakening.
Deepika and Chirag prepare for the party, and Chirag gets romantic with her. Prithvi enters singing “khullam khulla pyaar karenge hum dono…” and tells Deepika she looks stunning, asking her to pose with Chirag for a photo. She complies, and he captures their moment, posting it on social media with the hashtag #cutecoolcouple. Mishka sees the photo and devises a plan.
Chirag and Deepika arrive at the masquerade party. Deepika feels uneasy and claims she has a stomach ache, wanting to head back home while holding her head. Chirag corrects her, saying that the stomach is down. Deepika clarifies she meant a headache. Chirag explains that he also feels out of place at such parties but is eager to meet his college friends after eight years.
Chirag greets his friends and introduces them to Deepika. His friends comment that Chirag never tires of talking about her. Deepika responds that Chirag speaks highly of them as well. They inquire if Deepika is a doctor and which hospital or clinic she works in. Deepika explains that she is a florist, working in her father’s flower shop. Chirag adds that Deepika has a knack for transforming any event into a beautiful setting with her floral decorations.
Chirag’s hostel mate joins them next, offering masks to both him and Deepika. Mishka enters and puts on a mask as well. Chirag’s friends remark that he could have married anyone, but he foolishly chose a florist. Deepika overhears this. Mishka approaches Chirag, attempting to touch him from behind. Chirag dances with Deepika to the song “Rukh Ja O Dil Diwane…,” making Mishka increasingly jealous. Mishka ominously thinks to herself that tonight will be Deepika’s last night.
