Lavanya accuses Deepika of attempting to ruin Jahnvi’s pooja. Chirag overhears and asks if she can’t start her day without yelling at Deepika. Lavanya further blames Deepika for damaging her relationship with her son. Jahnvi reminds Lavanya that they are running late for tula daan. Lavanya storms off. Deepika cheers up Chirag and suggests he head to Bangalore while she goes to the temple. Chirag leaves. Mishka joins Deepika and insists on accompanying her to the temple. Deepika reveals that she is fasting with a wish for a baby. They make their way to the temple.
At the temple, Lavanya conducts Jahnvi’s tula daan and prays for a rightful heir through Jahnvi. Panditji advises Jahnvi to visit the temple with Deepika to earn virtue. Jahnvi warns him to mind his own affairs. Panditji informs her about a ritual that will surely help her conceive. Jahnvi dismisses him, stating she doesn’t believe in such things and insults him again. Panditji remarks that if Deepika represents a day, then Jahnvi is like a dark night. Deepika arrives at the temple and, hearing about the ritual, performs it by doing parikrama on her knees. Devotees praise her dedication. Lavanya asks who is receiving the praise. Neelima responds that it must be their elder DIL. Lavanya scowls.
Deepika collapses while performing parikrama. People gather around her. Neelima attempts to assist Deepika, but Lavanya, acting true to form, pulls Neelima away. Mishka wakes Deepika up. Deepika greets Panditji and leaves the area. Feeling weak, she sits down. Mishka gives her contraceptive pills, claiming they are multivitamins, urging her to take one pill daily to prepare her body for a baby. In the car, the song Lagjaa Gale… plays on FM. Deepika mentions it’s her favorite song. Mishka reminisces that it was also someone else’s favorite song, recalling how Chirag’s girlfriend adored it and how she tampered with Chirag’s car brakes, resulting in the tragic accident that took Chirag’s girlfriend’s life.
Deepika arrives home. Chirag calls her. Deepika expresses that she was missing him. Chirag says that’s exactly why he called. She notices flowers and declares her love for them. Chirag recalls gifting flowers to his late girlfriend and feels a pang of sadness. He tells Deepika that he wants to talk about his past. She insists she doesn’t want to know about his past and prefers to focus on their future together.
