Chirag tells Lavanya that Chandu/Chandini is a self-respecting but stubborn girl. Lavanya remarks that she is just like him. Once Chirag leaves, Deepika sneaks out from her hiding spot and asks Lavanya if she liked her dish. Lavanya replies that it’s very tasty, but Ragini doesn’t like the dish Deepika prepared, though she loves the one Deepika made. Deepika says she doesn’t understand why she feels emotionally connected to Ragini. Lavanya believes it’s because Ragini is Deepika’s daughter.
Jahnvi talks to her mother on the phone and tells her that she only found out about her pregnancy the day before and that Deepika returned today. She’s unsure of what to do. Prithvi hugs her from behind, expressing how happy he is about their baby and Deepika’s return. Jahnvi frowns, saying he’s still worried about others and not about her.
Lavanya offers Chandu money and a dress. Deepika refuses to accept it. Jahnvi teases Deepika to accept it, suggesting she is broke now. Deepika asks Lavanya for her blessings instead. Lavanya tells her that her blessings are always with her, but she still wants to do something for her granddaughter. Deepika agrees to accept just the dress. Ragini walks up to her Savri Mamma/SM and asks if she’s leaving. Deepika says she needs to go and see her daughter. Ragini hands her a tiffin box, and Deepika leaves. Mishka sends her aide to search for the DNA report.
Chirag serves himself from the buffet counters. Lavanya insists that he try the ghevar. Chirag tastes it and immediately feels that it’s just like Deepika’s ghevar. Lavanya mentions that it was prepared by Ragini’s friend SM and believes Deepika still holds a place in Chirag’s heart. She thinks he will soon reaccept her. Deepika returns home, and Chandu complains that she doesn’t want dal chawal on New Year’s Eve. Deepika offers her ghevar, and Chandu happily celebrates the New Year.
Chirag looks at his file and notices the DNA report hidden inside it. Just then, he receives a call and quickly puts it away. Omkar brings him ghevar, but Chirag refuses it and walks away. Omkar believes that Deepika still resides in Chirag’s heart, and soon he will accept her again. The next day, he and Neelima plan to stabilize Deepika’s financial situation by organizing a flower decoration competition with a prize for her.
Deepika dresses Chandu in the dress Lavanya gave her and accidentally mentions that Chandu’s grandma gave it to her. Chandu excitedly asks if she met her grandma, then she must have met her papa. Deepika remembers seeing Chirag but simply says she met her grandma. Later, Deepika visits the hospital to get her medical reports and is shocked to see Chirag’s name on the consent form. She confronts the nurse, questioning why she lied about Chirag not being there the other day. The nurse stands nervously.
Chirag arrives at the hospital and wonders why he is there. The doctor asks him what he’s doing, and Chirag explains that he just came to check on Deepika’s condition. The doctor leads her to the reception, where Deepika and Chirag stand in silence, staring at each other. The nurse tells Deepika that she’s lucky to have a senior surgeon like Chirag as her husband, who was worried about her when she was unconscious and loves her deeply.
