The Mittal family is celebrating Ragini’s birthday. Neelima praises Chirag, saying that while he can’t even pick matching socks for himself, he went out of his way to have a special dress designed for Ragini by a famous designer. Ragini feels thrilled as she sees so many cakes and asks which one she should cut. Mishka enters and offers to help her, but Lavanya stops her and says that she will help her granddaughter.
Meanwhile, Chandini asks her mother about her birthday dress. Deepika creates a dress from her sari, which Chandini admires greatly. Balwant praises Deepika for her creativity in making something beautiful without spending a single penny. They celebrate Chandini’s birthday by cutting a homemade cake, distributing snacks to Chandini’s friends, and singing the “Chanda Chamke” song.
After the celebrations, Ragini asks Lavanya if she will keep her promise and introduce her to her mother as a birthday gift. Lavanya replies that they will visit their kuldevi temple the next day, and Ragini can pray to the goddess for help in meeting her mother soon. Ragini thanks her excitedly and leaves. Chirag warns Lavanya not to mention Deepika’s name in front of Ragini. Lavanya counters by saying that if Chirag is Ragini’s father, then Deepika is Ragini’s mother, as Deepika is still his wife. Chirag insists that he is Ragini’s only parent. Lavanya challenges him, saying that Devimaa will surely answer Ragini’s prayers and reunite her with her mother.
The next day, Chirag, Lavanya, and Ragini are driving toward the kuldevi temple when their driver suddenly sees a girl walking in the middle of the road and slams on the brakes. Chirag gets out of the car and scolds Chandini for walking on the road. Their playful verbal tussle begins. He insults her parents for not teaching her basic manners. Chandini immediately retorts, warning him not to speak ill of her mother, as she considers her mother to be the best in the world. She demands an apology from him. Chirag tells her to apologize first, and then he’ll apologize to her. Their back-and-forth continues.
