Bhagya Lakshmi 9th September 2024 Written Update
The episode begins with Kritika accidentally hitting Hema with her car while talking to Devika, and then fleeing the scene. On her way, she bumps into Suman while trying to escape. Suman sees the injured Hema and is shocked. Malini, in a panic, asks Hema to open her eyes and urges Suman to see what happened to Bhabhi. Malini stops the car, and they rush to take the injured Hema to a nearby auto. They ask the auto driver to quickly get her to the hospital. Upon reaching the hospital, the doctor checks Suman and declares it a serious case. He informs them that Hema needs to be admitted to the ICU and tells them to deposit a significant sum of money, or else they will have to take her to another hospital. Suman firmly says that her mother will not be taken to another hospital and reminds the doctor about the law prohibiting refusal of treatment. The doctor reluctantly agrees to proceed with the treatment. Suman prays to God to save her mother, even offering her own life instead. Malini tells her not to say such things, and Suman, emotional, hugs Malini and cries.
Teerth recalls when Suman asked him why he had sent Rishi to throw ink on the opposition party. He tells Rishi that Devika Bhabhi took her anger out on him, unaware that her plan would backfire. He apologizes, but Rishi warns, “If you apologize again, I’ll give my vote to the opposition.” Devika suspects Teerth has changed his tactics. Teerth asks Rishi why Suman dislikes him so much. Rishi explains, “She despises politics. She believes politicians exploit the pain of the poor and destroy others’ reputations for their gain.” Devika dismissively says, “Then she’s of no use to you.” Teerth speculates that Suman’s hatred feels personal. Rishi reveals that their father, Pramod Sharma, died because of politics.
The doctor comes out and informs them that basic treatment has been done, but they need to deposit 2 lakh rupees for further care. Bhumi anxiously asks Suman how they’ll manage to find the money. Suman firmly declares that her mother’s treatment will happen. Just as Rishi is about to share something with Teerth, Bhumi calls and informs him about Hema’s accident. Rishi tells Teerth, who immediately offers to go with him. Kritika arrives and accidentally bumps into Teerth on her way inside. Teerth leaves with Rishi. Kritika confesses to Devika about the accident and its location. Devika quickly realizes that Kritika has hit Suman’s mother and reassures her, saying that she has unknowingly targeted the right person. She tells Kritika not to worry and assures her that nothing will happen to her. “As long as Papa and I are here, you’re safe,” Devika says calmly. She then contacts the media, planning to spin the incident as a politician helping a poor accident victim, aiming to capitalize on the situation. Kritika is worried, but Devika smugly tells her that Suman will publicly insult Teerth, turning the situation in their favor.
At the hospital, Teerth is about to pay for Hema’s treatment when the media shows up, bombarding Teerth with questions and insinuating that Suman might be exploiting the situation to extract money from a politician. Teerth asks Bittu who summoned the media, but Bittu says he doesn’t know—the news spreads fast. Teerth tries to dismiss the media and proceeds to pay, but Suman stops him. She accuses him of calling the media to showcase his greatness and angrily tells him that she refrained from exposing the truth in front of them. “I don’t want your money, stop this publicity stunt,” she says. Rishi argues, “We won’t be able to afford the treatment if we don’t accept help.” But Suman, determined, declares, “I won’t let anything happen to my mother, and I won’t let anyone use her suffering.” Teerth pulls Suman close and questions her, “Why are you so stubborn?” He insists that he didn’t call the media and can’t control if they follow him. “She’s not just your mother—she’s Rishi’s mother too,” he adds, urging Rishi to take his card and pay the hospital. Suman, however, asks for justice, not money, and demands that Teerth help her bring the culprit to justice. Teerth asks who was responsible for the accident. Suman reveals, “Kritika Gupta, your Bhabhi’s sister and your girlfriend. She hit my mother and ran away, even colliding with me while escaping.” Suman challenges Teerth, “Show your courage and get Kritika arrested, and only then will I accept money for my mother’s treatment.”
Meanwhile, Bhumi overhears the conversation and angrily confronts Rishi. He tries to calm her, but she retorts, “I can’t stay calm when my sister suffers. She always thinks of us, but what do you do? You’re constantly wrapped up in this politician’s world.” She accuses him of becoming a burden on the family. Teerth tries to intervene, but Rishi makes it clear, “This is about our self-respect. You claim to be my mother’s son, so arrest Kritika.” Teerth promises, “Whoever caused this accident, I will ensure they go to jail.” Suman, sitting by Hema’s bedside, makes a call to Poorna. Her son, Gulshan, answers the phone. Suman apologizes on Rishi’s behalf and explains that she urgently needs 2 lakh rupees for her mother’s treatment. She promises to repay with interest and asks if she can come to collect the money. Gulshan agrees, planning to take advantage of the situation. Suman, desperate, rushes out of the ICU.
