Bhagya Lakshmi 8th October 2024 Written Update
Ashish is drinking while his accomplice is still playing. He gets a text from Malishka, ordering him to call the family and demand ransom while changing his voice. Ashish asks Leo to come over and bring a phone that’s not in use. When Leo asks why, Ashish explains they need it to ask for ransom, revealing they’ve kidnapped a child. Leo, excited, runs off, but Paru is worried.
Vijesh arrives, saying they’ve told him everything, but it’s not very useful. He asks if they suspect anyone. Neelam, frustrated, says Vijesh is wasting time asking such questions, as they should be focusing on saving Paru. Vijesh, feeling misunderstood, replies that he is doing his best and will handle it his way. Aanchal asks Neelam to sit down. Vijesh turns to the others, asking if they are sure there’s nothing more they can share. He notices Malishka looking tense and suddenly directs a question at her, which shocks everyone. He asks why she seems worried. Malishka denies it, but Vijesh insists he can see she’s hiding something.
Just then, the landline rings, startling everyone. Vijesh asks if they often get calls on the landline, to which Aayush replies that it rings only two or three times a year. Anoushka adds that they mostly use their cell phones. Lakshmi urges them not to waste time and to answer the call. However, Vijesh advises her not to, as she might get emotional. He suggests Rishi take the call instead. Lakshmi, emotional, argues that Paru is not just their child, and despite Vijesh’s protests, she answers the phone. Ashish, pretending to be someone else, asks if this is Paru’s house. Lakshmi asks what they want and why they kidnapped her. Ashish sternly tells her not to question him, or he’ll end the call. Lakshmi apologizes and asks where Paru is. Ashish replies that Paru is safe but that Lakshmi must pay to secure her release. He demands a ransom, saying the amount will be according to their terms, and in return, they’ll give back her daughter.
Meanwhile, Malishka is on the balcony, contemplating contacting Ashish. Seeing her call, Ashish is confused, wondering why she’s calling when he’s already on the phone. She decides to text him instead. Ashish is shocked by the message, which warns him that the call is being traced. Ashish quickly demands fifteen lacs and promises to call later with the location before abruptly ending the call. Lakshmi, panicking, begs to speak to Paru, but the line goes dead. She informs Rishi, distraught that they’re not letting her speak to their daughter. Vijesh tells Rishi the call was cut before they could trace it. Rishi confirms to Lakshmi that the call has ended, leaving everyone anxious.
Lakshmi urges Rishi to give the kidnappers the 1.5 million they asked for, but he refuses. Malishka asks why, and Lakshmi, growing angrier, says that Paru is their daughter, and she will do anything to get her back. Lakshmi offers to repay the money, insisting they hand over the ransom now. Despite her pleas, Rishi remains firm. Lakshmi argues that the kidnappers will call again with the location, but Rishi refuses again. Neelam, furious, asks Rishi why he’s hesitating. She declares she’d give anything for Paru and scoffs at the idea that fifteen lacs is a significant sum. She questions Rishi’s decision, reminding him that their family has far more wealth than the kidnappers can imagine. Though Rishi agrees, he still refuses to pay, prompting Neelam to scold him harshly.
Meanwhile, Ashish laments that things have taken a bad turn, and Leo asks what happened. Ashish explains that Malishka warned him someone was tracing the call, leaving him feeling betrayed. Leo reassures Ashish that Malishka was helping him by alerting him in time. However, Leo questions why Ashish only asked for fifteen lacs. Ashish admits he panicked and blurted out the first thing that came to mind.
Neelam, still angry, can’t believe Rishi’s refusal. Rishi tries to explain, but Lakshmi cuts him off, asking how he could even think of refusing when Paru is their daughter. Rishi, frustrated, asks for a chance to explain himself, but no one listens. Finally, Aayush steps in, asking everyone to calm down and let Rishi speak. Karishma tries to argue, but Aayush insists that Rishi loves Paru as much as anyone else.
Rishi begins to explain his reasoning, asking why the kidnappers would only demand such a small sum of money. Lakshmi insists they just want the money, but Rishi challenges this, arguing that there’s more to the situation. Vijesh, agreeing with Rishi, suggests that the kidnappers may have a deeper motive, likely revenge against the family. Lakshmi dismisses his theory, focused solely on getting Paru back. Rishi, however, explains that if the kidnappers knew about their family’s wealth, why would they ask for so little?
Ashish, meanwhile, asks Leo if he’s sure the call wasn’t traced. Leo reassures him, noting that Malishka’s warning came just in time. Ashish, still irritated, says they should ask for more money next time.
Aayush agrees with Rishi, pointing out that no one would take such a risk for such a small amount. Rishi believes it’s a personal attack, and Vijesh concurs, suggesting they’re dealing with an enemy of the family. Lakshmi argues that the kidnapper might simply think fifteen lacs is a large amount. Aayush agrees, trying to understand both sides. Vijesh mentions that he’s seen similar cases with wealthy families and points out a previous case where a salaried worker paid a ransom and got his daughter back, although the police later recovered the money.
Lakshmi, however, insists she only cares about getting Paru back. Rishi pleads with her to stay calm, trying to make her see reason. Lakshmi accuses him of not caring enough to take action, leaving Rishi to defend himself. He asks for a chance to explain his plan, but Lakshmi isn’t ready to listen. Vijesh, seeing the tension, pulls Rishi aside for a private conversation. Aayush, noticing Lakshmi’s distress, goes to comfort her.
