Shalu and Aayush both sit apart, their emotions evident as they look away from each other. Aayush turns to her, trying to speak but unable to control himself, so he looks away again. Shalu admits she was lying and urges him not to think poorly of her or feel hurt. Aayush wipes his tears and, with a smile, asks what she means, knowing she was just joking. He eats some sweets, prompting Shalu to question his actions. Aayush pulls out his phone, revealing he recorded a video where she confessed that there is nothing between them. He steps behind a pillar, claiming he’s skilled at these mind games, tears still in his eyes, while Shalu sits on the couch, crying. Aayush approaches her, saying he doesn’t want to upset Anoushka, his wife who loves him dearly and with whom he has a perfect marriage. He acknowledges that Shalu might feel suspicious but reassures her that Anoushka is possessive, making it his duty to reciprocate that love. He explains that everything he said to Shalu was just for show, to which Shalu responds in kind. Aayush asks if she understands that it was all an act, and she replies that she does. They both signal a desire to leave, and Aayush walks away, reflecting on the moment when Shalu confessed her true feelings for him, hiding behind the pillar after recalling how they used to argue before ultimately parting ways. Shalu, too, becomes emotional and begins to cry.

Lakshmi tells Rishi that Shalu hasn’t kept the Varth for Aayush despite knowing he is married now. Rishi asks about the past, and Lakshmi explains that Shalu understands it’s not right to do so now. Rishi counters that love doesn’t adhere to notions of right or wrong. Lakshmi agrees but insists that it does matter in this case. When she tries to walk away, Rishi inquires why they can’t just talk normally, to which Lakshmi questions how he can remain casual with her. As she attempts to leave, Rishi stops her, asking about the reason behind her feelings. Lakshmi explains that she’s referring to right and wrong because he hasn’t changed from who he was before. Rishi asks what he has done wrong, and Lakshmi points out that he married her even though he loved Malishka. Rishi wonders why she keeps bringing up the past. He apologizes, acknowledging it will take time for them to communicate freely again, and he turns to leave, but not before asking if there’s something she wants to say. She declines, prompting Rishi to suggest that at least she could say good night. Shalu runs to the pillar and sits down, contemplating Aayush’s words as tears flow. She cries, pondering why she thinks of him when he is married, determined not to disrupt his happiness. She holds her hand to her heart, exclaiming that she wants to do nothing wrong. Shalu resolves to distance herself from Aayush, knowing he loves his wife and has every right to do so. She thinks about Anoushka, who is kind and takes good care of Aayush, vowing to keep her distance from both of them to prevent any problems from arising in their lives, weeping as she does.

Anoushka storms into the room, shocked to find Neil sitting in a chair. She calls out to him, and he stands, playfully asking why she acts as if she’s seen a ghost when he is her husband. As he approaches to hug her, she pushes him onto the bed. Closing the door, Anoushka demands to know how he dared to touch her. Neil replies that he merely hugged her, but she questions his audacity. He claims to have proof in the form of photos, stating that she looks beautiful, which is why he couldn’t help himself.

Meanwhile, Aayush walks, reflecting on Shalu’s words about how it was all an act to alleviate Anoushka’s suspicions. She asked him not to misinterpret her intentions, but Aayush doubts the feasibility of this. He calls himself foolish as Rishi approaches, noticing Aayush’s tears and asking what’s wrong. Aayush can only cry, confessing that he has been mistaken from the beginning and what he thought was wrong. He explains that Shalu was only pretending, saying those things to make Anoushka feel bad. He tries to reassure Rishi that he’s fine and needs to move on, noting that hearts can lead us astray. He vows to think logically and let his heart follow, or else he would face trouble. Rishi empathizes but Aayush insists he was wrong to believe he was in love, which is not appropriate. He decides to grab something to eat, brushing off Rishi’s attempts to talk. Aayush chastises himself for his thoughts, realizing he’s married and shouldn’t have entertained those ideas. He asks Rishi not to disclose any of this to anyone. Rishi apologizes, admitting he can’t assist him.

As Aayush walks away, Dadi calls him inside, saying she needs his help. Aayush replies he has no tasks, but she insists he should fetch her medicine from Anoushka’s room. Dadi asks if he has seen it, and he reminds her he is the husband. Dadi apologizes, and Aayush questions why her medicine is in Anoushka’s room. Dadi claims she can keep her medicines anywhere and simply forgot them there after visiting Anoushka. Aayush asks why she was in Anoushka’s room, prompting Dadi to threaten him with a slap. She questions if something is wrong, but he assures her nothing is, smiling as she scolds him to hurry.

Neil follows Anoushka again, attempting to hug her, but she warns him that they are not a couple and he should stop saying such nonsense. Neil retorts that they are still a couple, to which Anoushka shows him the divorce papers. He appears stunned, stating that they are meaningless without his signature, implying they are still married. Anoushka insists he hasn’t signed, bringing him a pen and demanding he sign to end everything. Neil questions how it can end like that, noting Anoushka lives in a grand house and wears expensive jewelry, suggesting he deserves something in return for freeing her. Anoushka replies she knows his true nature and that he would get far more than he deserves. She throws a bag at him, telling him to leave. Neil argues that this is far less than he anticipated and insists he will only sign the divorce papers if he receives proper compensation. Anoushka asserts that she has no more money, leading Neil to demand a fair payment for his signature. Anoushka declares he is not worthy of such a sum, and Neil, infuriated, threatens to expose the truth that would lead to Anoushka being thrown out of the house for marrying Aayush while still married to him. Anoushka panics at the thought.
