Bhagya Lakshmi 17th January 2025 Written Update
The episode begins with Shalu standing in front of Ayush. Anushka watches them and thinks her life is ruined after Shalu’s arrival. Ayush asks Shalu what happened to her, reassuring her that he is here and encouraging her to share whatever is on her mind. Shalu responds, saying that she doesn’t think they should talk to each other, as they always end up hurting each other. Ayush insists that this isn’t true, mentioning that they have shared some wonderful moments together. Shalu dismisses it, saying it was all in the past. Ayush asks her what she is hiding, but Shalu denies it. He hands her something, which she accepts. Anushka, watching from afar, feels that Ayush has forgotten her and disrespected their relationship. She vows not to let Shalu get away with it. Rishi sees them together and thinks he needs to do something for Ayush and Shalu. He considers asking Lakshmi for help to make Shalu understand, but wonders where she is.
Malishka tells Kiran that she has been staying in the room to avoid being seen. Kiran advises her to leave the room and be outside. Malishka expresses her worries about Gurumaa being outside, fearing she might discover the identity of the baby’s father. Kiran reassures her that the baby is Rishi’s, and she should stop worrying about the past. Malishka insists that Gurumaa could figure out the truth with her touch and might already know. Kiran remains confident that others don’t have that power to uncover such truths and urges her to behave properly. Malishka reveals she had a plan to get rid of both sisters, but Gurumaa’s arrival has complicated things. Kiran then shares her own plan to get rid of them, but she needs Varsha’s and her help and suggests they first speak to the jeweler.
Lakshmi is deep in thought, trying to figure out how to access the reports without anyone finding out. Rishi arrives and tells her he knows the truth. He speaks about how couples who aren’t meant for each other shouldn’t get married. He then tells her that Ayush and Shalu love each other deeply, but something is preventing them from being together, though he doesn’t know what. He asks for Lakshmi’s help to make them realize their love and get them married.
Varsha teases Mukesh, asking if he’s married. He replies that he is not. She then asks if he would marry her, which makes him uneasy and he walks away. Kiran instructs Varsha to fetch a necklace for Malishka. As Varsha leaves, Kiran tells Malishka that once the necklace is in her hands, she will accuse Lakshmi of stealing it and claim she saw her searching Rishi’s locker. Malishka agrees, suggesting they check the locker for something important. Just as she’s about to leave, Aanchal calls her. Rishi speaks to Lakshmi, telling her that Shalu will listen to her if she speaks to her directly. He thanks her, saying everything will be easier with her by his side. He admits it would be better if she had considered his feelings earlier. He leans in as if to hug her, but she pulls back. Lakshmi tells him she will speak to Shalu alone and will do whatever is necessary on her own without anyone’s help.
The dancers arrive and begin their performance. Dadi, Karishma, and Aanchal join in. Karishma notices Ayush looking sad and encourages him to dance and enjoy the festival. Ayush joins Dadi on the dance floor. Dadi invites Shalu to join them, but Shalu initially refuses. Dadi insists and leads her to dance. Ayush watches them, but Shalu turns away from him and focuses on Dadi. Rano steps in and invites Lakshmi to dance. Ayush asks Rishi to dance, and the two share a moment on the dance floor, which causes Malishka to feel upset. Kiran signals Malishka to join the dance, and she reluctantly does. However, Shalu pulls Malishka aside, claiming that Malishka is pregnant and has hurt her foot, so she shouldn’t be dancing. Malishka begins plotting her next move. Neelam tells Kiran to take Malishka to her room so she can rest for a while. Kiran insists Malishka is fine and suggests giving her the naulakha haar instead.
Gurumaa is performing a puja when the pearls on a necklace break. She tells Jaya that something inauspicious is about to happen. Gurumaa plans to share the news of Lakshmi’s pregnancy with everyone, declaring that the baby is far more auspicious and important for the family than Malishka’s child. They leave to find Lakshmi. Meanwhile, Lakshmi reflects on Shalu’s words and decides she needs to speak with her.
Ayush attempts to talk to Shalu again, but she continues to ignore him. He presses her, asking her to share what’s on her mind and if he would understand. Shalu responds by saying that guys like him are very clever.
