Neelam accuses Lakshmi of being the one who kidnapped Paru, shocking Shalu, who questions how Neelam could even think that. Neelam responds that she would have never considered it, but this is what Lakshmi did. Aayush intervenes, telling Neelam that as Paru’s mother, she would never entertain such a thought. Aanchal asks if Rishi could also do something like this, as he is also Paru’s father, and it’s unfair to blame Lakshmi. Neelam insists that Lakshmi is shouting to cover her own crime. Aayush suggests it’s a misunderstanding and that neither Rishi nor Lakshmi could do such a thing. Rishi interjects, saying it is possible and that this is indeed what has happened. Lakshmi responds that Rishi knows who is truly behind it, but he expresses disbelief. Lakshmi asserts she can believe it and demands to know where her daughter is. Rishi warns Lakshmi not to test his patience, and she retorts that he is the one who knows who is acting out. She just wants her daughter back and is prepared to leave the house. Rishi claims he is calm because Lakshmi thinks she can trust him, but she responds that she once thought well of him, too, but was mistaken. Lakshmi warns Rishi that he won’t be able to do anything to wrong them, to which Rishi replies that Lakshmi has always misjudged him, and this is the truth. Turning to Vijesh, Lakshmi says he mentioned that someone from the house is involved in Paru’s kidnapping. Rishi agrees with her, and they start blaming each other. Vijesh is taken aback, and Rishi questions how Lakshmi can say this. She asks how he could do it, but he insists he has always done it while she was at fault for believing he had changed for the better, saying she was thinking with her heart. Rishi asserts he was wrong to accept that she is a good mother, admitting he once believed no one could be a better mother than her. Lakshmi, enraged, demands to know how he dared say this, stating she would accept it if he called her a bad wife or sister, but not a bad mother, as that is her identity and reason for living—her children are the most important part of her life. Paru makes noise, and Balvinder hastily covers her face, but the officer threatens them, instructing them to free the girl’s hands or face the consequences. Just then, a constable is struck from behind with a wooden stick, rendering him unconscious. Balvinder grows worried while Paru sees the person who attacked the officer.
