Anupama 9th January 2025 Written Update
The episode begins with Mahi telling Rahi to stay away from Prem, asserting that he is hers. Kinjal asks if she still keeps saying “Prem, Prem,” and questions whether she has any self-respect. Mahi responds, asking if Kinjal does, and says that if she had any, she would have left Toshu Bhai long ago. Toshu tells Mahi to stop her nonsense, accusing Prem of cheating on her. Mahi remains confident, saying everything will be fine after marriage. Baa questions if Mahi still intends to marry him. Toshu says she’s lost her mind, and that it will only lead to destruction. Mahi asks why he is concerned, questioning their relationship. Anupama intervenes and asks Rahi if what Prem said is true, and if she loves him. Mahi asks why Anupama is asking Rahi, dismissing it as irrelevant because Prem is hers. She accuses Rahi of jealousy, and Anupama tells her to stop.
Mahi, frustrated, claps and says that Anupama doesn’t care about her but only about Rahi. She goes on to say that if her real mother had been there, she would have asked if she was okay. Instead, Anupama became her mother, but now she can’t even care for her properly. Mahi says she has done everything for Anupama, but she hasn’t done anything to make Rahi understand to stay away from her Prem. She claims that Anupama has forgotten everything Rahi has done to her. Mahi says she loved Anupama more than her own mother, but she has received no motherly affection in return. Angrily, she throws things around and even nearly hits Anupama with a flower plate, but Rahi catches it. Mahi mocks her, saying that Rahi will always be seen as the virtuous one while she is the bad one. She says if she dies, everyone will be relieved, as she will no longer be a burden. Prem apologizes to everyone and admits the truth, saying he accepts whatever decision is made.
Mahi is still fixated on marrying Prem. Rahi asks Anupama to decide and assures her that they won’t question her decision. Babu ji points out that Anupama is always caught in difficult situations, but she must make the tough decision and bear the consequences. Anupama says she needs time to think and that whatever decision she makes, they all must accept it. She walks away, reflecting on the chaos, wondering how both of her daughters could fall in love with Prem and what to do next.
Rahi is walking alone on the road when Prem rushes to save her. Rahi questions why he saved her, saying she should just die. Prem responds that her behavior hurts him. Rahi asks how she will face her mother if Mahi does something drastic. Mahi, meanwhile, is staring at her photo and angrily strikes it, lamenting that happiness is not meant for her. Ansh and Pari try to stop her, but she becomes hysterical. Pakhi steps in, smiling at Mahi’s state, and asks her to come along.
Rahi tells Prem that if Mahi harms herself, they won’t be able to forgive themselves. She asks him to talk to Mahi. Prem reassures her that he will, but she should not feel guilty and dishonor their love. Rahi expresses how hard it is to be happy while Mahi is sad. Prem insists that she does not need to feel guilty, and he believes that Anu Maam will make the right decision. Pakhi stirs Mahi’s emotions further, provoking her against Anupama and Rahi. Mahi declares she cannot stay away from Prem. Pakhi tells her to go and emotionally blackmail Anupama, suggesting she threaten suicide to manipulate her. She advises Mahi to act like a helpless girl to appeal to Anupama’s soft heart. She says Mahi is the best match for Prem, as she is already engaged to him. Mahi believes she must ensure Prem’s hand is in hers.
Anupama, feeling torn, looks at Anuj’s photo and expresses her loneliness. She wonders whom to disappoint and whom to bring together, questioning whom she should give Prem to. Rahi arrives and speaks to Mahi.
Mahi reflects on a happy picture of herself and Prem, asserting that she too deserves happiness. She recalls Prem’s words. Prem approaches and apologizes to Mahi, explaining that when he made her wear the engagement ring, he thought he could forget his love for Rahi. Mahi insists that she still wants to marry him and will be a good partner. Rahi interrupts, saying they do not have good life partners in their lives. She tells Anupama to announce that Prem will marry Mahi. Mahi swears she won’t fight for Prem but urges him to choose her and not break her dreams. She asserts that she and Prem are not suited for each other, and Prem agrees to respect Anu Maam’s decision. Mahi urges him to prepare for their wedding, confident that the decision will be in her favor.
