Anupama 9th December 2024 Written Update
The episode starts with Radha’s father saying she is my daughter, and when my wife is unwell, someone has to do the work. Rahi says you should do the work. She asks the lady if she doesn’t feel ashamed making a young girl work. The lady replies that she will give her work according to her age, and she can play with my daughter. When she goes to school, she will do the housework. Rahi asks when will she go to school and study then, when will she enjoy her childhood? The lady responds that the truth is poor children don’t have childhoods. Anupama interjects, saying they do, but people like you steal it. Rahi says that whether rich or poor, all children enjoy flying kites when they see one, want to run in an open field, and rest their heads on their mother’s lap. All children deserve their childhood, whether rich or poor, but people like you rob them of it and separate them from their parents.
The lady says that their parents get money in return. Anupama says parents get money, you get a servant, but what does the child get? Nothing, their childhood is stolen. Anupama and Rahi argue with them. Anupama asks Radha’s father how he could do this as her father. The lady tells Anupama not to interfere in their personal matters. Anupama replies that this is not a private matter and says she would have acted the same even if it were an enemy’s child. She questions if he doesn’t know that child labor is illegal, even though he is educated. She says this is a girl, not a toy for your daughter to play with. She says using someone’s child for your own children is a sin. She tells them that parents like you spoil your kids, and they end up in rash driving, hit-and-run cases, and more. She adds that parents like you teach their children that poor children have no value, and as they grow up, they fail to value poor people. She says a poor man’s child carries your child’s school bag but never enters your school. When he holds your shopping bag, he yearns to wear the same clothes and shoes your children wear, and when your children play in the park, the poor child brings the ball but is too scared to play with it.
Rahi asks Radha’s father how he can sell his daughter’s childhood, being her father, and says for a daughter, her father is a superman, but you are trying to become a villain. Anupama asks the lady why they follow rules abroad but not here. She says you throw trash on the road and then complain about the country being dirty. Rahi calls the lady illiterate despite her education. Anupama tells the lady that if she has so much money, then she should help poor children get an education. She says we should think about others, not just ourselves.
Pakhi asks Toshu to call Radha’s father and ask him to send her back. Toshu tells her to chill. Dolly says Prem told her that Anupama and Rahi went to bring Radha back. Toshu says they will return empty-handed.
The lady says Radha’s mother is in the hospital, and you know well about her father. She says if Radha stays in my house, she will get food, clothing, shelter, and safety. She asks if you think she will be safe with her father, or will you take her with you? Radha’s father says Radha was with Anupama, but her son called and asked her to take Radha from there. The lady says, wow, you are lecturing me, and asks what’s the guarantee that she will be safe in your house and that you won’t make her do housework. Radha’s father says her mother is in the hospital, and when your son called, saying he wouldn’t take responsibility, I called this Madam to make the arrangements. The lady asks if he will take responsibility for this girl.
Anupama and Rahi return home. Pakhi says thank God Radha didn’t come. Toshu tells Anupama that what he did was right; he can’t turn Krishnakunj into an Asha Bhavan. Radha calls Prem and comes in holding balloons. Prem lifts her in his arms and then asks her to see the shoes she has kept in the room. Radha goes to look at the shoes.
Anupama recalls Radha’s father asking her if she would take responsibility and says she was talking big, then tries to drag Radha toward him. Anupama slaps him and asks how dare he ask for a guarantee. She says she won’t give him a guarantee, but will take care of Radha. She says she guarantees that if he roams around Radha or Shrishti, she will get him arrested.
Toshu and Pakhi ask Anupama why she brought Radha back. Pakhi says she has troubled them so much. Dolly says she can’t sleep because of Radha. Toshu agrees. Anupama says you know her father is a drunkard, yet you sent Radha with him. Toshu says he is her father. Rahi says he is a drunkard and was sending Radha with a lady for child labor, and even took a salary from her. Toshu says it’s good that she will learn something. Anupama says if you had told me, I would have sent you to work when you were a child; maybe you’d be independent by now. She says a child works in their own house by choice, but in other people’s houses, they work out of necessity.
Janki behen calls Anupama. Anupama is shocked to hear from her and ends the call. Anupama tells Rahi that Shrishti slipped into a coma. She was recovering, but the doctor says nothing can be predicted about when she will wake up. Baa says she has no issue with Radha, but a daughter’s responsibility is huge. She asks who will take her to school. Ishu says what if she falls and gets hurt, who will be responsible? Anupama says she will talk to Janki behen. Rahi says she will take responsibility for Radha until her mother recovers. She will pick and drop her to school. Pakhi says raising a child is no small task. Kinjal agrees. Ishu says don’t increase the crowd. Pakhi says you and Prem are added, but don’t add Radha now. Rahi says Radha will stay in my room. Pakhi says that’s Ansh’s room.
Rahi says she has raised children in the orphanage and wants to take care of Radha until her mother gets better. Anupama says no, and explains that she made this decision in an emotional moment. She says Rahi had the responsibility of kids in the ashram and worked day and night. She asks who will handle the business if she takes care of Radha. We’ve suffered a big loss; who will help cover it? Rahi says I’m not alone, you and Prem are with me. We will manage together as a team. She asks Anupama to understand and says she feels attached to Radha. When she is with her, she doesn’t miss Dwarka. She begs Anupama not to separate her from Radha and promises she will manage both Radha and the work. Prem says he will help with Radha. Anupama says I’ve forgiven your mistake in business, but I won’t forgive you if you make a mistake with Radha. She asks her to think it through. Rahi says she has thought it over and is ready to take responsibility for Radha. Anupama agrees that Rahi will take care of Radha until Shrishti is fine, and they all will help her. Rahi hugs Anupama. Mahi looks upset.
Rahi goes to Radha and hugs her. They play with the bubble toy. Mahi is upset and angrily sets the pan to make tea. Prem comes and says he has made something for them, and they can have tea with it. He asks if she has been crying. Mahi lies. Prem cheers her up and says she can share her feelings. Mahi says Rahi made a big mistake, and Anupama forgave her. She says Rahi took advantage of Anupama’s love and she doesn’t know how shattered Anupama was when Rahi ran away. Mahi says she was with Anupama during that time. Prem asks if she is angry or jealous. Mahi says she is scared, and if the time comes to choose between Rahi and her, she fears Anupama will choose Rahi. Prem says Rahi was adopted, but Anupama loves her like her own, and she loves all her children equally.
