Anupama 8th January 2025 Written Update

The episode begins with Babu ji saying that today is Mahi and Prem’s engagement, meaning they are taking the first step toward marriage. He emphasizes the need for them to understand each other and gives the family time to prepare for the wedding. Anupama says that if the first step succeeds, everything will fall into place. She mentions that the scent of mehendi spreads throughout the house, symbolizing the fragrance of values and traditions. Babu ji asks Prem to fulfill the promise he made. Anupama then asks Prem and Mahi to exchange rings. Rahi recalls Prem putting the ring on her finger in her imagination. As Prem is about to make Mahi wear the ring, it slips and falls to the floor, landing near Rahi. Baa asks Rahi to pick it up. Mahi questions how the ring fell. Ansh teases her, suggesting Prem might have gotten nervous. Rahi picks up the ring and hands it to Prem. He is about to place it on Mahi’s finger, but Ansh interrupts, claiming that the ring itself seems to sense something is off, as there is no entertainment. Babu ji starts a song, and Prem and Mahi have a dance with the family. Anupama notices Rahi stepping away from Prem. She brings the rings, and Prem places the ring on Mahi’s finger. Anupama sings along with everyone, and they all join in singing Mahi ve.

Rahi’s dupatta gets caught in Prem’s watch and gets torn. He keeps the torn piece. While dancing, Rahi moves back, and Prem sees a light stand falling toward her. He rushes to save her, catching the stand just in time. The family looks on, shocked, as Prem holds Rahi, and they share a hug. Prem asks if Rahi is alright, and she questions if he’s crazy for risking his life for her. Prem replies that he couldn’t let anything happen to her. She says she would have died if something had happened to him. Prem tells her that he would have too if anything had happened to her and hugs her tightly, saying, “I love you, Rahi.” Rahi replies, “I love you too, Prem.” The family is stunned.

Ishu comments on the dramatic turn of events. Pakhi says it will be interesting to see everyone’s reactions. Anupama calls for Rahi and Prem to come forward, and they turn toward her. The voiceover mentions that love cannot be hidden, even when people try to, describing it as a river of fire everyone must cross. Mahi is left stunned as she shows Prem the ring and asks how he could say that, reminding him of Babu ji’s words and their engagement. She questions if what she just saw and heard was a joke, asking if they are pranking her. Mahi shakes Rahi and asks them to clarify that it was a joke. Anupama asks Mahi to calm down and stop shaking Rahi. Mahi pushes Rahi aside. Prem steps in front of Mahi and tells her that what happened was no joke, but the truth that came out in a panic situation. He admits that he loves Rahi, and Rahi loves him too. Baa demands to know if Prem was drunk or out of his mind when he agreed to the engagement. Prem explains that he did it for Mahi’s sake because she couldn’t handle it. He tells them that Rahi asked him to sacrifice his love for Mahi’s happiness. Mahi collapses, shocked. Prem holds her hand, but he still holds Rahi’s hand. Mahi gets up, and Prem apologizes, saying he doesn’t love her the way he loves Rahi.

Mahi goes to Baa, hugging her. Pakhi says it’s beyond a limit, and they shouldn’t have played with Rahi’s emotions. Rahi goes to Anupama, who stops her. Prem approaches Anupama, but she also stops him. Mahi tells Anupama that Rahi doesn’t want their engagement to happen. Anupama asks her to calm down and shares that she had asked Prem and Rahi many times about their feelings. She says she warned Mahi not to rush, but no one listened. She criticizes the idea that everything would be fine once the engagement happened, like a fairytale. She accuses everyone of making a mockery of the family, calling them shameless.

Baa says she had already warned that this girl isn’t suitable for their house. Pakhi agrees, hinting at it earlier. Ansh says he never liked Prem. Babu ji tells them to stop reacting so strongly. Toshu criticizes Baa’s reluctance to accept their reactions. Pakhi insists that Mummy should not lecture them. Ansh accuses Prem of playing with Mahi and Rahi’s emotions. Pari tells Ansh to stop and explains that Prem never loved Mahi; he was confused because of his feelings for Rahi and Mahi’s sacrifice. Pakhi asks why Prem didn’t tell anyone. Kinjal tells Pakhi not to scold her daughter. Babu ji says he never thought he would return to see this. Baa blames Rahi for everything that’s gone wrong in the house. Babu ji remarks that before Rahi arrived, this house was a dream house, and they were all happy. Ansh says Prem should have revealed the truth sooner. Kinjal and others also express that the truth should have been shared. Prem apologizes to Anupama, explaining that he didn’t want to trouble her or hurt Mahi, which is why he kept the truth from her. He says he knows she understands the pain of first love. He admits that he didn’t know when he fell for Rahi, but when he realized it, Mahi had already fallen for him. He explains that Rahi hid her feelings for him and never accepted her love. If she had confessed earlier, the engagement would never have happened. He tells them that he tried to make Rahi understand, but she asked him to sacrifice his love for Mahi’s happiness, so he agreed. He says he pushed Rahi away for Mahi, but when he saw her in danger, he couldn’t control his feelings. Ansh starts beating Prem, and Rahi shouts at him to stop. Baa scolds Rahi. Toshu intervenes and starts beating Ansh. Rahi runs to Prem, hugging him, and begs them not to hurt him. She cries as she holds him tightly.
