Anupama

Anupama 7th September 2024 Written Update

The episode begins with Anuj and Anupama performing *Tulsi pujan* with Aadhya. Anupama calls for Coffee, their pet, and asks Aadhya to feed him. Coffee arrives and starts eating the food. Anupama encourages Aadhya to come closer, but Aadhya hesitates. Anupama reassures her, saying that animals can be more trustworthy than strangers and that they are very loyal. Aadhya introduces herself to Coffee, saying, “Hello, Coffee, I’m Aadhya,” and reminisces about feeding her dog friend outside the house. She then declares Coffee as her new friend now that she’s grown up. Anupama instructs her to get food for the birds. Aadhya asks if the birds understand them too. Anuj humorously replies, “Yes, and if they throw their food, your mother will scold them a lot.” Aadhya places food for the birds. Then Kaveri, the cow, makes a sound. Anupama guides Aadhya to give breakfast to Kaveri and feed her grass by hand. She explains that the cow is called *Gao Mata* because, like a mother, she takes care of her family. She further explains that cow’s milk is considered *Amrit*, and even cow urine and dung have many uses. Aadhya responds, “Yes, cow urine is medicinal, and dung is antibacterial—you taught me that!” Anuj laughs, admitting that he forgot to teach her. Anupama adds, “I’ll teach our daughter what I know, and you can teach her what you know.”

Meanwhile, Baa talks to Vanraj’s photo, asking him to come home soon. Titu and Kinjal try to console her. Baa laments that so many days have passed without any news of him. Toshu enters, dancing to the music. He tastes the juice and instructs the servant to bring him some orange juice. Boasting, Toshu says that being the head of the family brings a lot of tension and that he hasn’t been able to sleep. He asks, “If I don’t do it, who will?” He then asks Baa to prepare curry pakoras, as Vanraj didn’t like them, and now that he’s not around, they can be made. The children watch Toshu amusedly. Baa plays a *bhajan*, and Toshu, hearing it, leaves. Baa remarks that she is still his father’s mother, and the children smile with happiness.

Anupama asks Aadhya to perform the *aarti*. Aadhya hesitates, saying she hasn’t done it in so long and fears making a mistake, which might upset God. Anupama reassures her that God looks at devotion, not mistakes. Encouraged by Babu ji and others, Aadhya performs the *aarti* while the *bhajan* plays. Afterward, Aadhya asks Anupama if they can bring Bappa home. Babu ji joyfully remarks that it seems Ganesh ji wants to come to their home. Bala and Indra volunteer to bring the idol. Anuj recalls how he and GK used to bring Bappa home, and says they will do the same. However, Aadhya expresses concern that the Shah family won’t be able to attend, as Toshu has refused to let her go. Anuj assures her that Anupama will bring Bappa home.

Anuj tells Anupama how relieved he is to see their daughter recovering. Anupama acknowledges that Aadhya suffered for six long years and that childhood trauma isn’t easily forgotten, but they will help her heal. Anuj expresses concern about Aadhya’s future, to which Anupama suggests that he start his business again, saying no one has better ideas than him. Anuj admits he wants to, but worries about finances and connections. They agree to perform the *aarti* together.

Elsewhere, Meenu and her friend ride in Sagar’s auto, talking about a guy from college and praising him. After her friend gets down, Sagar, feeling jealous, mutters that he hasn’t even met Rohan, but he already seems like an enemy. Meenu casually remarks that Rohan looks good, adding that first impressions are based on looks, and the heart and other qualities come after that. She adds that while a person’s heart may not change, their appearance can be altered whenever they want. Meanwhile, Anuj and Anupama sit together to make the Ganesh idol.

Titu notices Dimpy getting ready to leave and asks where she’s headed. Dimpy refuses to say, and her file falls to the ground. Titu picks it up and asks if she’s going to see the builder. Dimpy confirms this, explaining that she doesn’t trust Toshu Bhai and fears he might try to take away Ansh’s rights. Toshu overhears and mockingly confronts her, claiming he has no such intentions. However, he warns Dimpy that if she flies too high, he will make sure she doesn’t get a single penny. After Toshu leaves, Dimpy frets about where they will go if their rights are taken away. Titu reassures her, reminding her that they have a house in Mumbai, but Dimpy insists that she wants to stay here. Meanwhile, Sagar checks his reflection in the mirror after overhearing that good looks matter as much as a good heart. Bala encourages him, saying that when you love someone, you should be willing to change for them. He jokes that if Indra asked him to shave his head, he would do it. Sagar, feeling grateful, thanks him.

Anupama and Anuj mix water with clay to make the idol, and accidentally, their Radha Krishna lockets fall into the bucket. They pick up each other’s lockets, and Anuj muses about poetry. Just then, Aadhya arrives and hands them their lockets back, asking if she can help make the idol. Anuj happily agrees, and they all leave their handprints in the clay, smiling together.
