Anupama 2nd January 2025 Written Update
The episode starts with Dolly telling Baa that Mummy is still favoring Prem. Toshu mentions that Mummy gets upset if anything negative is said about Prem. Dolly says she doesn’t understand the magic he has cast on Mummy, making her blind to his mistakes, and urges Baa to throw him out. Pakhi adds that Mummy will never refuse you, and you can easily get rid of Prem. Toshu suggests that if Prem manipulates Pari or Ishu, he could pose as a son-in-law despite being a servant.
Prem asks Mahi what her problem is, questioning why girls lose their confidence when they are called fat or criticized. He reassures her that she has no flaws, but he himself can have them. He tells her not to say it again. Mahi gets emotional, and Prem reflects on Rahi’s words. He tells her that while he doesn’t love her, he does like her and is willing to give it a try. Mahi grows hopeful and extends her hand. Prem tells her that he can’t promise love but is willing to try. He asks if she’s willing to wait for him to love her. Mahi says she will wait for the day he loves her too. Prem thinks he is doing this for Rahi and Anu Maam.
Baa questions Anupama about sending Prem to Mahi’s room, criticizing her for becoming too modern. Anupama explains that Prem needed to talk to her. Mahi enters with Prem, hugs Anupama, and tells her that Prem will be with her, and their relationship will happen. Anupama becomes emotional and asks Prem if Mahi is telling the truth. Prem says that he will support Mahi and never cause her pain. Anupama thanks Prem.
Baa argues that this isn’t a film plot, where love marriages work. She says real life starts after the movie ends and asks Mahi where she will stay. Mahi replies that she will stay wherever Prem keeps her. Baa reminds her that even Pakhi once had “love fever,” but returned home soon enough. She asks Anupama to make them understand. Anupama says a house doesn’t run on love alone and asks them to consider this carefully. Prem admits that he hasn’t thought things through and needs time to think. Toshu asks him to clarify whether he wants to marry or not. Ansh questions the rapid change in his decision. Prem says he needs time to figure things out. Anupama agrees, suggesting they give him time since it’s a matter of both their lives and urges everyone not to rush into any decisions. Mahi tells Prem to take care as he leaves.
Baa asks Anupama what has changed in a few hours that made Prem agree. Anupama assures her that Prem won’t make any wrong decisions. Baa insists that Prem will change his mind and points out that all the love marriages in their family have failed. She mentions that even Anupama’s marriage with Anuj, despite lasting 26 years, didn’t survive for even 26 months after love marriage. She warns that if something goes wrong, Anupama will be blamed. Pakhi adds that Mummy will be trapped.
Later, Anupama meets Prem to thank him. She says even though he doesn’t love Mahi, he has accepted her, and asks if it’s his choice or if he’s doing it out of helplessness. She asks him not to lie and places her hand on his head. Prem admits that he doesn’t love Mahi, and he’s unsure if he ever will, but he will support her and see where life takes him. Rahi observes them. Anupama says that when they first met, she felt they had a past connection. She trusted him because her heart told her to do so. She warns him that trust, once broken, can’t be easily restored. Anupama asks about his relationship with Prarthana, mentioning seeing them hug, and asks what the connection is. Prem insists that he has no relationship with Prarthana, and that she was emotional when they hugged. Anupama tells him that trust is fragile and can’t be rebuilt easily. Prem promises not to break her trust and assures her that he will support Mahi.
Later, Rahi is packing food when Prem walks in. She has tears in her eyes as she struggles with a tangled thread while wrapping a box. He gently wipes away her tears and helps her. Rahi cuts the thread to free herself. A song plays. Prem notices her hurting herself with a rubber band and mirrors her actions, thinking he loves her so much that he’s letting go of his stubbornness. Rahi knows he’s doing this for Mummy and her. Prem thinks he has sacrificed his love for Rahi, and she believes she has done the same for Mummy’s happiness.
Pakhi urges Mahi to marry Prem before he changes his mind. Mahi says Prem needs time to decide. Pakhi warns her that Prem might fall for Rahi. Mahi is taken aback.
Prem throws things in frustration, hurting himself. Rahi enters and asks why he’s angry after making his decision. Prem says he made a promise, so he has to follow through, but the pain is still there. He throws an object and asks if she’s hurt, then hugs her and apologizes. Rahi says she hurt him and asked for a sacrifice, so he should hate her. Prem says he can never hate her, even if she asks for his life. He says he accepted her request, and asks her to accept his in the next life. He asks her to promise. Rahi nods in agreement. Prem says he will wait for that next life. Rahi turns to leave but then runs back and hugs him. A song plays. Prem hugs her back. They both cry as she walks away.
