Anupama 29th October 2024 Written Update
The episode starts with Baa mentioning that evening is approaching, yet the money hasn’t been arranged. Toshu says he asked their old client for help, but he refused. Baa laments that it seems this Diwali will bring darkness for them. Dolly chimes in, saying that the inauspicious girl arrived in their home on Dussehra. Anupama enters and assures them that the money will be arranged. Baa asks how, and Dolly questions where such a large sum will come from. Anupama confidently states that it will come. Pakhi inquires if Anupama had money but didn’t share it. Anupama responds that even Kinjal and Pakhi keep their own money, so they shouldn’t question her and just relax. Ansh, Mahi, and Pari arrive, offering Anupama their money. She expresses gratitude and says for now, the money is sorted. Anupama adds that if she needs money again, she’ll ask them. Dolly scolds Anupama for asking money from children. Ansh defends Anupama, questioning Dolly’s comments and expresses his impatience. Anupama responds, feeling proud that her grandchildren have learned values like honesty and kindness, which she couldn’t impart to her own children. She urges them not to lose their goodness. Toshu asks for the money to give to Jigar bhai. Anupama agrees to give the money but insists he apologize to Janki behen and the other ladies. She mentions that while she has endured Toshu’s misbehavior, they shouldn’t have to. Toshu stubbornly refuses, questioning why he should apologize as the owner. Anupama asserts that her workers are not servants but homemakers with self-respect and reminds him they can find work elsewhere. Baa tries to intervene and make him understand. Anupama steps outside and retrieves Aadhya’s photo from her locket, about to take out Anuj’s photo when Aadhya unexpectedly bumps into her, causing the chain locket to drop. Aadhya notices Anuj’s photo in the locket and thinks that Anupama’s love is insincere since she didn’t keep her photo. The jeweler arrives, asking for the locket. Anupama hands it over, and in return, he gives her money. She thanks him, and Aadhya questions how she could give away Anuj’s last memento. Anupama replies that she wishes Aadhya could understand her pain.
Prem appears and hands Anupama the house keys, mentioning he found her there. She questions his presence, to which Prem explains he was photographing Kaveri and Gauri. He offers her encouragement. Ansh observes him, feeling suspicious of his lingering presence. Anupama asks him to count the money, which he does.
Anupama approaches Jigar to give him the money. Jigar mocks her and demands she pay six months’ rent before he hands over the keys. Anupama pleads, but he remains adamant.
She is left in tears, realizing that she sold Anuj’s last keepsake without any gain and feels guilty. Anupama expresses that despite being far from her, Anuj is still close to her heart, while Choti is nearby but feels distant. She had hoped to celebrate Diwali joyfully with her daughter’s return, but it seems this Diwali will be as dark as those in the past. Meanwhile, Prem and his friends come across a lantern shop, and they switch on the lights, illuminating the shop. Prem suggests taking a selfie. Aadhya and Anupama are nearby, looking at the lanterns before Anupama walks away. Prem snaps a selfie and notices Aadhya behind him. Suddenly, they hear some children asking a lady for money, which she refuses, taunting them about their parents. The lady then tries to buy two dozen diyas for the price of one dozen. Aadhya confronts her for taunting the children and cheating the shopkeeper. She tells the kids to follow her and offers to get them food. She approaches the shopkeeper, asking for food for the children, stating she will do any work to pay for it. He agrees to provide food if she can sweep and clean the floor. Prem overhears and is impressed, offering her money, which she declines. The shopkeeper agrees to give the food. Aadhya begins to sweep. Prem marvels at her kindness and applauds her efforts.
Just then, the postman inquires about Krishna Kunj, and Prem responds that it’s her house. Aadhya corrects him, saying no. The postman requests her assistance to help him with the parcel. Aadhya takes the parcel and signs for it, not noticing Anuj Kapadia’s name as the sender. Prem hears the postman mention that someone informed him about Asha Bhavan residents staying in Krishna Kunj; otherwise, the parcel would have been returned. Aadhya and Prem return home. Aadhya hands the parcel to Anupama before heading inside. Prem mentions seeing her at the market and thought to give her a ride home. He mentions that the postman suggested it might contain something she lost. Anupama opens the parcel and sees a note saying, “Anu, tumhara Anuj…” She quickly puts the box back in the envelope. Prem asks if the parcel is special. Anupama panics and then feels joy. He suggests she find a private place to open it. Anupama rushes away, running to the park, where she stumbles but clutches the parcel and kisses it. Prem follows behind her.
