Anupama 27th August 2024 Written Update
The episode starts with Anupama pondering why her daughter is at Dean’s house and wondering if her life is in danger, as she appeared frightened. Aadhya, thinking to herself, says, “Mummy must have many questions in her heart, and she will find the answers.” Anupama, determined, says, “Your mother is leaving for now, but she will return soon, and no wall or door will stop her.” Aadhya, feeling hopeful, says, “Come back soon, Mummy. I am waiting.” Megha, meanwhile, tells Dean that they should go to the farmhouse today itself. He tries to calm her, suggesting they wait until after Janmashtami, but Megha insists, shouting at him that they are leaving immediately.
As Anupama walks, she accidentally collides with a lady who angrily asks if she can’t see where she’s going. Anupama, elated, says, “I found my daughter after seven months.” The lady, surprised, congratulates her and gives her a hug. Meanwhile, Anuj, looking at Aadhya’s sketch on the wall, declares that he won’t celebrate any festival until she returns. At that moment, Anupama arrives and blows bubbles, reminiscing, “Choti loves this.” She then joyfully tells him, “We found our daughter!” Anuj, laughing with relief, listens as Anupama explains, “I saw Choti today, in reality, and she saw me too. We didn’t meet, but we saw each other from afar. She’s fine, though not happy. She will only be happy once we bring her back.” She hugs him tightly, adding, “Anuj, she will be with us very soon.”
Anuj, still concerned, asks, “Why didn’t you bring her home today if she’s not happy?” Anupama, trying to be cautious, explains, “We have to be careful with every step. Her life might be in danger, and we need the police’s help.” Anuj, frustrated, responds, “Why didn’t you bring her back? We should have involved the police right away. And here you are, blowing bubbles and hugging me while I’ve been missing her so much.” He insists they go and bring Aadhya back immediately. Anupama pleads, “There could be danger to her life.” Anuj, feeling betrayed, accuses her of giving him false hope and feeding his imagination. He refuses to believe her, saying, “Don’t give me false hopes. I’ve been living without her, but if I can’t continue, this helpless father will die.” Anupama, trying to calm him, says, “Don’t say that.” She assures him, “If you don’t trust me, okay, but you will trust your own eyes. I will bring our daughter before you, even if I have to plead with or fight Dean and his wife. Tomorrow, on Janmashtami, your daughter will be my gift to you.”
Elsewhere, Meera is delighted to see Indian Masala pancakes and thanks Kinjal, saying, “This will make my day start on a good note.” Baa, curious, asks why she’s so happy over Masala Uttapam. Meenu chimes in, saying, “It’s because Kinjal Bhabhi’s love is in it.” Kinjal then asks Meenu how her internship is going, to which Meenu replies, “Very well. I’ve made new friends and am thinking of settling here.” Baa, seizing the moment, says, “That’s exactly what we want, which is why we’re arranging your marriage to a doctor. Vanraj and I have already seen him.” Meenu, caught off guard, says, “I haven’t thought about marriage yet.” Baa, shining a flashlight on Meenu, says, “I wanted to see if her thoughts extended only to the neighborhood.” Meenu firmly replies that she’s not ready for marriage right now. Baa, undeterred, argues back and instructs Kinjal to prepare Meenu for the meeting with the groom’s family. She mentions that they’ve already spoken with Dolly and Sanjay Kumar about it.
Meanwhile, Megha, Dean, and Aadhya leave in their car. Later, the kids at home argue over breaking the matki. Kinjal suggests they do it together, but Baa shoos them away. Kinjal questions Baa about arranging a meeting with the groom’s family without consulting Meenu first. Baa, brushing her off, asks, “Why does this bother you? Why are you concerned?” Pakhi and Toshu, taunting Kinjal, ask if she and Anupama had planned something else for Meenu’s marriage. Shocked, Kinjal asks, “What?” Baa then reminds her that Vanraj had clearly stated that no one should go against his wishes, and it’s better if Meenu marries as per their choice.
Anupama arrives at Dean’s house, but the guard informs her that they aren’t home. Determined, Anupama thinks, “I have to do something wrong to make everything right,” and silently apologizes to Kanha Ji. She distracts the guard by tossing some coins, which he eagerly picks up and starts counting. Taking the opportunity, Anupama tries to open a window to get inside.
Meanwhile, Sagar, meeting Meenu at a coffee shop, asks why she urgently called him there. Meenu, testing his feelings, asks, “If I told you that Mama has arranged a meeting with the groom’s family, would it affect you?” Sagar, trying to play it cool, replies, “No, why would it?” Meenu presses further, “If Vanraj Mama weren’t my uncle and Anupama weren’t my aunt, would it still not affect you?” Sagar insists, “It doesn’t matter to me.” Disheartened, Meenu says, “Fine, then I won’t meet you again. I’ll stay away until I get married.” As she walks away, Sagar feels a pang of regret and starts to cry.
Back at Dean’s house, Anupama, trying to open the door, injures her finger but manages to pry the window open and sneak inside. She finds herself in Aadhya’s room and knocks on the door, calling out for her. When she realizes the door is unlocked, she enters and continues calling for her daughter. She spots a photo frame with Aadhya and Megha in it and notices Aadhya’s drawing book. Flipping through it, she realizes that Aadhya was distressed and worried. Hugging the diary close, Anupama is filled with resolve.
