Anupama

Anupama 25th August 2024 Written Update

The episode begins with Aadhya considering messaging Anupama, as she hasn’t been answering her calls. Just then, the Dean’s phone rings, and Aadhya returns it to him. He takes the call. Megha arrives and offers Prasad to Aadhya, who accepts it. Meanwhile, Anupama rests her head on Babu ji’s chest. He asks if she’s tired, and Anupama replies that it’s the good kind of tiredness that comes from hard work. Anuj hands her a glass of water, which she gratefully drinks. Indra brings tea, and Nandita offers cookies. Anupama thanks them, mentioning she needed the tea. Bala Kaka proudly shows the first day’s earnings, but Anupama asks him to keep the money with him. Nandita remarks that while there were no customers yesterday, today they barely have time to breathe. Babu ji notes that the fruits of hard work often come late, and Bala adds that God always gives more in return. Sagar predicts even more people will come today. Later, as Megha is about to serve food, Aadhya requests her to order something from outside. The Dean offers his phone to place the order, but Megha takes it instead, insisting she’ll order. However, the Dean hands the phone to Aadhya, who decides to call directly.

Aadhya dials Anupama’s number. Sagar advises her not to answer, thinking it’s just an order call. However, Anupama recognizes the number as familiar and decides to pick up. Megha, on the other end, asks Anupama to send a burger and French fries. Anupama agrees to deliver it herself, as there’s no one else around at the moment. Megha consents. Anupama then explains that it was the Dean’s wife who called, mentioning her daughter was hungry, and she couldn’t refuse because it was about a child. Anuj offers to accompany her to deliver the food. On the way, the auto they’re in breaks down, and Anuj asks Anupama to go ahead and deliver the order while he fixes the auto. He specifically asks her not to bring up the canteen contract with the Dean, and she agrees.

Anupama arrives at their house and rings the bell. Megha tells Aadhya to go to her room, and as Aadhya leaves, she thinks to herself that she knows what she has to do. Megha opens the door and is surprised to see Anupama standing there. The Dean comes over to make the payment. Megha is taken aback and comments that she didn’t realize her daughter had called Anupama. The Dean starts to mention the canteen contract, explaining that it’s a matter for management, but Anupama reassures him that she understands and is only there to deliver food for their daughter. She asks for the payment. Megha takes the food parcel and goes to fetch the money. As they wait, they hear the sound of Aadhya dancing with ghungroos on. Anupama recognizes the sound and realizes it’s Aadhya. Aadhya, in her mind, calls out to her mother, wanting her to recognize that her “Choti” is there. Megha returns with the money, and Anupama mentions the sound of ghungroos. Megha dismisses it, claiming it’s coming from the neighbor’s house, and quickly closes the door. Anupama remains standing outside, deep in thought. Inside, Megha confronts Aadhya, asking why she’s suddenly doing classical dance when she never did it before, despite Megha’s suggestions. Aadhya nonchalantly replies that it’s just a matter of mood. Megha, suspicious, notes that Aadhya has been acting out of character lately. Aadhya then goes to freshen up.

Anupama returns to the auto, and Anuj asks if anything happened or if the Dean said something. Anupama starts to share her doubts but decides against it, thinking it’s best not to tell him yet. Anuj advises her to rest after a long day of work.

Meanwhile, Toshu and Pakhi complain to each other about how unlucky they are to have such parents. They humorously remove the “evil eye” from each other and Pakhi asks for money, suggesting they donate it to an Ashram for good karma. Toshu agrees and leaves. Kinjal, overhearing, laughs at their dramatic complaints, pointing out the irony of them calling themselves unlucky while they shop and party all night. She thanks them for lifting her mood, calling it therapeutic. Toshu, still feeling misunderstood, remarks that nobody understands them, and Pakhi agrees, calling them unlucky.

Later, Anupama takes out the ghungroos and listens to the sound they make. Nandita notices and asks what’s on her mind. Anupama confides that she felt her Choti’s presence, as if she was signaling that she’s there. Nandita, puzzled, asks what she means. Anupama recalls the day she cooked at the Dean’s house, noting how strangely they behaved, especially when she tried to go to the room—they acted as if she’d committed a grave offense. She mentions that although they liked the food, they canceled the contract afterward. Anupama also tells Nandita that she heard the same music and dance that she had taught Aadhya and that they always seem eager to get her to leave whenever she visits. Nandita encourages her to go back and find out if Aadhya is really there. Determined, Anupama agrees and sets off. Meanwhile, Sagar steps outside to study and lights a lantern. Meenu sees him and smiles, but he ignores her. Playfully, Meenu throws paper rockets at him, then shines an LED light on him using a pen. Sagar retaliates by shining his pen light on her, trying to stop her. A light-hearted song plays in the background.

Later that night, Megha sneaks into Aadhya’s room, determined to find out what’s going on. She reflects on how Aadhya has been upset and irritable since she arrived, but now she’s suddenly smiling. She checks Aadhya’s diary and finds sketches inside. Suspicious, Megha wonders if someone is trying to come between her and Priya, questioning what’s keeping her away from her daughter. Meanwhile, Anupama walks along the road, resolute in her decision to uncover the truth. She vows not to rest until she finds out what’s really going on.
