Anupama 23rd November 2024 Written Update
The episode begins with Ishu explaining that everyone supported Mahi, and that’s why Rahi would have lost. Pakhi interrupts, asking if they’re going to talk about that “loser girl” or celebrate Mahi’s victory. Baa suggests they leave Rahi behind and celebrate Mahi’s win. Mahi asks Anupama if she isn’t happy that she won. Anupama replies that she is happy for her, but with mixed emotions—one daughter lost while the other won, leaving her torn between sadness and joy. Toshu asks if they will just cry or celebrate too. Pakhi insists that they call the dhol players. Anupama kisses Mahi’s hand, hoping Prem is looking after Rahi.
Pakhi scolds Ishani for almost revealing the truth to Anupama. Ishani defends herself, saying it was just a slip of the tongue. They turn around and see Ansh standing there. Ansh asks if they were talking about something. Ishani quickly responds, saying it was just a “girls’ talk.” Ansh remains skeptical.
Meanwhile, Prem helps Rahi sit down and ties a cloth around her injured feet. A song plays as the family celebrates Mahi’s victory. Anupama places her hand on Mahi’s shoulder, and Mahi hugs her in return. The family dances and Baa takes off the “evil eye” from Mahi, giving money to the dhol players. Everyone continues dancing. Baa says, “Our victory lies in yours.” Dolly chimes in, “After all, you are all Shah.” Toshu adds, “You’re our family.” Mahi thanks them, and Anupama smiles, noticing the changing dynamics in the family.
Prem offers water to Rahi, and she drinks it. Anupama thinks to herself that Prem should be with Rahi. Mahi wonders why Prem hasn’t come yet and if he is still with Rahi. Prem encourages Rahi to come home, but she refuses, saying she has no home. She thanks him for saving her from the fire and helping her, but asks him to leave her alone for now. Prem insists he cannot leave her when she’s crying. He tells her it’s not his way to walk away and asks her to come with him. Rahi responds sarcastically, saying maybe she should bring poison. They hear a bhajan from the temple, and Rahi reflects on the events of the previous day. She murmurs, “Anupama Joshi… you’ve done what you wanted, now watch what I’ll do.”
The next day, Janki Behen asks Deepa if she’s prepared the rice. Deepa confirms, and Janki Behen tells Anupama to rest. However, Anupama replies that she can’t, as she’s worried about Rahi. Janki Behen asks if there’s any news about Rahi, and Anupama reassures her that Prem is with her, which gives her some peace. She adds that since Prem is not home, she has to manage things herself. She cannot place the responsibility on others. Janki Behen agrees.
Toshu enters and mentions that two new restaurants have opened in their neighborhood, catering to the kids who now prefer burgers, pizzas, and sandwiches. Anupama reminds them they can’t eat such food every day. She shares her dream of “Anu ki Rasoi” becoming a global success. Pakhi enters to get something, and Toshu comments on her always wearing the same shawl. Pakhi explains that she likes it because Ishani gave it to her. She adds that it’s a fashion trend. As she turns, a ghungroo falls from her shawl into a vegetable bowl. Anupama looks at it, puzzled.
Toshu, Kinjal, and Dolly discuss how Mahi hasn’t paid them yet. Baa says that once Rahi leaves, they will perform the purification ceremony of the house. Anupama goes to Pakhi’s room to look for evidence. Pakhi asks her what she’s looking for, and Anupama finds a pouch with ghungroos inside. She places them on the bed.
Pakhi defends herself, saying the ghungroos belong to Ishani, not her. She also mentions that Ishani did dance. However, Anupama argues that Ishani dances western, not classical. She tells Pakhi she had given her ghungroos to Rahi and Mahi. She accuses Pakhi of sabotaging Rahi’s chance by stealing her ghungroos. Anupama says Rahi worked very hard for the competition and deserved a fair chance. She accuses Pakhi of trying to ruin Rahi’s happiness and victory. She questions why Pakhi cannot bear Rahi’s success. Anupama reveals that Rahi had blamed her, thinking she had given her the ghungroos, and now Rahi hates her even more. Anupama confronts Pakhi, asking why she would do such a thing. She drops the ghungroos on the floor and tells Pakhi to dance on them with bare feet.
