Anupama 21st September 2024 Written Update
The episode begins with Anupama informing Babu ji that they are heading to the hotel to deliver the goods. She adds that if anyone causes trouble, he should hold them by the ear or head and throw them out without waiting for her, as Asha Bhavan has always been a place of peace. Anuj, Anupama, Aadhya, and Indra leave. Nandita takes a seat across from Dimpy. The manager informs Toshu and Pakhi that the payment has declined due to issues with the card. Toshu and Pakhi ask him to check again. After checking three times, the manager confirms the issue persists. Pakhi says, “Okay, we will change and come back to pay with my card.” She asks the manager to leave. The manager nods and exits.
Pakhi closes the door and admits to Toshu that she doesn’t have her card, as it’s in Asha Bhavan. She adds that even if she had it, she wouldn’t be able to pay because she has no money in her bank account. They both imagine themselves washing dishes and exclaim, “No way!” They start calling their friends for money.
Anupama asks Anuj how they will travel since the auto is already full. Anuj laughs and says they will manage. She jokes, asking if she’ll have to sit with the driver. Anuj chuckles and says it’s illegal to sit with the driver, or else he wouldn’t miss the chance to romance. He then apologizes, saying Sagar will take the auto. Anupama suggests they go by bike and points out Pawan’s bike. She fondly refers to it as “Pawan ji’s bike.” Anuj smiles, saying he wanted to relive old memories. They hop on the bike and leave.
Pakhi tells Toshu they will pretend to go to the spa or pool and sneak out. Toshu jokes, “In bathrobes?” She nods. Toshu points out they might get caught on camera. He then suggests they escape through the window, but Pakhi reminds him that they’re on the seventh floor, and they could die. She insists her plan is better.
Dimpy suggests to Baa that they should visit Jamnagar. Baa retorts that since both their husbands are here, there’s no need to go. Dimpy proposes taking their husbands along, but Baa refuses, saying they wouldn’t agree to go. She tells Dimpy to go by herself. Dimpy accuses Baa of being Anupama’s puppet, contrasting her previous criticism of Anupama. Baa explains there’s a difference between self-respect and arrogance. She adds that unlike Toshu, Pakhi, and Dimpy, she had a home that they lost when they moved into a rental. She believes this misfortune occurred because of the harsh things she said to Anupama. Baa acknowledges that she doesn’t want to live here but would rather stay with her husband than be homeless. Dimpy asks if Baa intends to remain, and Baa confirms, advising Dimpy to make arrangements for Toshu and Pakhi while letting them live in peace. Dimpy walks away, upset.
Anuj and Anupama enjoy their bike ride, with Anupama’s hair blowing in the wind. Anuj playfully lets her pallu fly. She holds onto him as they continue riding. When they reach the hotel, Anupama laughs, noting her hair is a mess. Anuj sweetly ties a handkerchief around her hair, reminiscing about how girls in college used to wear matching hairbands, except for one girl. He tells Anupama she looks beautiful.
Pakhi and Toshu sneak out of their hotel room, running as they spot the manager. The manager chases after them. They end up falling at Anupama’s feet. Anupama tells them to get up and look at themselves. They run away. Anupama calls out to the manager.
Meanwhile, Meenu falls into Sagar’s arms, and they share a romantic moment. Baa and Dolly enter, causing Sagar and Meenu to hide. After setting up the bedsheet, Baa leaves when Babu ji calls her. Meenu and Sagar contemplate talking to Anupama.
Toshu and Pakhi are caught and made to wash dishes. Toshu sighs, saying they tried to escape but were caught. Pakhi cries. Anupama feels bad, but Anuj comforts her. The manager thanks Anupama for helping catch them, as they would have fled otherwise. He wonders aloud about their parents. Anupama responds that despite their upbringing, they ended up like this. The manager asks if Anupama knows them, surprised that she turned them in. Pakhi and Toshu overhear, with Pakhi exclaiming, “What the hell?” Toshu accuses Anupama of getting them caught.
Pakhi blames Anupama for their predicament. Anupama retorts that it’s not their business to judge her actions, then questions whether they did the right thing by trying to run without paying the hotel bill. She reminds them that they once declared she wasn’t their mother, then asks what kind of children they are. She instructs the manager to keep them working until all the money is recovered or to call the police. The manager agrees. Toshu pleads, “Mummy, please, save us.” Pakhi sobs, saying she’s already washed so many dishes and begs for help. Anupama tells the manager they are good actors and advises him not to believe them.
The manager, still concerned, says they might escape again and considers calling the police. Toshu and Pakhi beg Anupama to pay the bill, promising to return the money. Anupama reminds the manager that Toshu and Pakhi have elderly grandparents, Toshu has a wife and daughter, and she herself has a daughter. She warns that their arrest would affect the whole family, though it wouldn’t harm Toshu and Pakhi directly. The manager agrees and decides not to involve the police. After he leaves, Toshu and Pakhi bitterly declare that they hope not to have a mother like Anupama in their next life. Anupama, hurt, prays to Kanha ji not to give her children like them. She offers them 20 rupees, telling them to have tea and biscuits after they finish washing dishes. Pakhi takes the money and hugs Toshu, crying. Anupama and Anuj leave the scene.
Later, Anuj takes Anupama to a pani puri stall. While he’s buying pani puri, he notices Anupama is missing. He searches for her and eventually spots her playing badminton.
