Anupama 1st September 2024 Written Update
The episode begins with Anupama’s condition deteriorating rapidly in the hospital. Anuj, unable to bear the stress, runs out and heads to the temple. Desperately, he questions Kanha ji, feeling like his life is being toyed with. He laments that every time he finds happiness, like meeting Anu, it’s snatched away, as Aadhya was. He tearfully pleads with Kanha ji not to separate him from Anu, asking the deity to take his life instead of Anu’s. He reminds Kanha ji that it’s both their birthdays and asks for the gift of Anu’s life and their daughter’s. He expresses his wish to either have both Anu and Aadhya or to leave this world himself, as he can’t live without them.
Meanwhile, Sagar arrives at the temple, filled with sorrow, and he too prays fervently, asking for Anudi’s life, as she means everything to him. Back at the hospital, Bala Kaka receives a call and is shocked to hear that Anupama only has 15 minutes left to survive. Nandita breaks down in tears, while Kinjal cries out for her mother. Baa continues to pray intensely, performing an abhishek of the God.
Determined, Anuj decides to perform an aarti and starts ringing the temple bells. The doctor, on the other hand, checks Anupama’s vitals and sees straight lines on the monitor, indicating that her body is no longer responding. The nurse rushes out to inform the family that the patient has stopped responding. Babu ji, Aadhya, and the others are devastated, with Toshu trying to comfort Aadhya. Meenu tries to reassure Babu ji, insisting that nothing will happen to Mami.
Anuj continues to ring the bell in the temple, while the doctors try desperately to revive Anupama. Despite their efforts, she becomes lifeless, and Anuj collapses in the temple, feeling her loss deeply. His voiceover reflects on the eternal bond between Radha and Kanha, expressing that even if life ends, love will remain. The song “Hum Rahe Na Rahe” plays as the doctor removes the oxygen mask from Anupama’s face. The nurse emerges from the operating room, and when Titu anxiously asks about his mother, she apologetically informs them that Anupama is no more, shocking everyone.
Aadhya is inconsolable, and Meenu tries to comfort her. Sagar sits in shock, unable to process the loss, while Toshu breaks down and hugs Titu, and then Babu ji.
As Anuj lies on the temple floor, he hears Anupama calling his name and feels her holding his hand. He gets up and sees her, telling her she can’t leave him. He insists that wherever she goes, he will follow. Anupama, however, gently reminds him that he is a father and must stay for their daughter. Anuj pleads, saying Aadhya can’t live without her. Anupama tells him that her time has come and that he must take care of Aadhya, just as he did six years ago. Anuj, heartbroken, argues that Aadhya only recently started loving her mother after years of hatred and that Anupama can’t leave now when their daughter needs her the most.
Anuj continues to plead with Anupama, reminding her of their dreams of growing old together. He says he can’t imagine finding a groom for Aadhya without her and suggests that they could live with Aadhya after her marriage. He recalls how Anupama had once said she wanted to grow old with him and insists that he won’t let anything happen to her. He begs her to stay, saying he can’t live without her, and that he spent half of his life waiting for her.
Anupama lovingly assures him that she will never leave his heart and hugs him tightly. She tells him that he must live for Aadhya and asks him to let her go. Holding her hand, Anuj feels her slipping away but tries to hold on. As they share a final moment, their lockets join together, symbolizing their eternal bond. Anuj then regains consciousness, waking up with renewed hope, and calls out Anu’s name happily.
