Anupama

Anupama 1st October 2024 Written Update

The episode begins with Anuj and Anupama returning home and touching Babu ji’s feet. Aadhya hugs them warmly. Bala compliments their Jodi, saying they look good together. Aadhya takes off the bad sight from them. Indra suggests that they should unite forever and encourages Anu to say yes to Anuj. Nandita adds that they should witness another marriage in the house. Kinjal wishes her luck, saying, “All the best, Mummy,” while others make upset faces.

Babu ji asks Dolly to return to Sanjay, with Baa agreeing, saying that it’s better not to stay apart at this age. Babu ji points out that Baa is staying here yet arguing with Anupama. He reminds her that it’s not his house, and she has no right to remain here. Just then, Sagar and Meenu arrive, seeking Babu ji’s blessings, as they have an exam. Baa blesses them as well. Dolly, irritated, remarks that writing an exam won’t make them judges. After Sagar and Meenu leave, Dolly asks if she doesn’t have the right to be upset. Baa empathizes, saying she understands how Dolly feels because she felt the same when Moti Baa got Vanraj married to Anupama. Babu ji chimes in, reminding them that it’s the same Anupama who is now helping them and urges them not to trouble her.

Meanwhile, Titu tells Dimpy that he doesn’t want to be a burden on Mummy and, therefore, plans to return to Mumbai. He suggests they take Baa and Babu ji with them. Dimpy retorts, asking why they should take them when their daughter is already here to care for them. She refuses, saying she won’t go unless she gets her share. Titu sternly tells her that he’s asking for the last time whether she wants to come or not. When Dimpy declines, Titu declares that he will leave and never return, as he values his self-respect. Dimpy mocks him, comparing him to her father for running away, to which Titu replies that at least he is informing her. As they argue, a ball hits Dimpy on her neck. Titu asks if it hurt, but Dimpy, clearly irritated, storms outside and confronts Aadhya and the children, demanding to know who threw the ball. Aadhya apologizes, saying it was a mistake. Dimpy angrily throws the ball at Aadhya’s feet, causing her pain. Ansh, stepping in, admits he was the one who threw the ball and points out that Aadhya already apologized. He accuses Dimpy of being a bad mother. Dimpy, infuriated, raises her hand to slap Ansh, but Aadhya grabs her arm, stopping her. Dimpy challenges Aadhya, asking who she is to interfere. Aadhya stands firm, stating that she won’t let Dimpy hit Ansh. Dimpy threatens to slap Aadhya instead, but just as she raises her hand, Anuj intervenes, catching her hand in midair. He angrily asks how she dares to raise her hand on Aadhya, adding that they’ve never laid a hand on her. Anupama steps in, questioning Dimpy’s behavior towards the children. Ansh expresses that he no longer wants to stay with his mother and wishes to live with his Dadi instead, saying Dimpy always scolds them, and he prefers to stay with Anuj and Aadhya. Dimpy accuses Aadhya of poisoning Ansh against her, but Aadhya counters that it’s Dimpy’s own behavior driving them apart. Dimpy spitefully says daughters are blessings, but Aadhya is a curse, especially to her. Furious, Anupama calls Dimpy by name, but she storms off. Aadhya and Ansh hug Anuj and Anupama, with Aadhya tearfully explaining it wasn’t her fault. Anupama and Anuj comfort her.

Later, Anupama watches Anuj working and feels happy. She reflects that Anuj shouldn’t fall under anyone’s bad sight. She muses about how much she loves him and how she should agree to marry him. She admires his good looks, loving nature, and the way he always wants to be with her, questioning why she should hesitate. However, she fears that history might repeat itself but ultimately decides that she should say yes because even Kanha ji is tired of giving her signs. She’s unsure about what to do next.

Just then, Babu ji approaches her, noticing her hesitation. He says she doesn’t need to explain anything—her face has said it all. He acknowledges her fear and dilemma, asking if letting fear control her will make things better. He advises her that happiness won’t always wait around, and there’s nothing wrong with having someone to share her joy with. He urges her to let love win, not fear, before walking away.

Anupama then goes to Anuj, bringing him coffee. Anuj thanks her but remarks that it’s cold. Anupama apologizes and says she wanted to talk to him about “Anu ki Rasoi,” but outside. She says she’ll make fresh hot coffee and leaves. Anuj sips the coffee, commenting that it’s still good.

Meanwhile, Dimpy spitefully pours tea over Aadhya’s family painting, pretending it was accidental. Aadhya, upset, tells Dimpy that she ruined her portrait. Dimpy coldly tells her to paint another one and stop overacting.

Anuj later joins Anupama, and they share a romantic dance to “Aaye tu meri zindagi mein.” In a heartfelt moment, Anupama bends on one knee and proposes to Anuj, asking if he would marry her again, showing him a Radha Krishna pendant. Anuj, surprised and delighted, says an enthusiastic “Yes, yes, yes!” He reveals he had also bought a Radha Krishna pendant for her. They exchange pendants and notice fireflies around them, with the words “#Maan” appearing. Anuj, overjoyed, thanks Anupama, shouting that he is so happy. He teases her, saying she brought him outside knowing he would wake everyone up. Anupama laughs, saying everyone must be asleep.

When they return home, Anuj excitedly beats a plate with a spoon, waking everyone up. The family gathers, confused. Baa asks what’s going on, while Aadhya points out that the children are still asleep. Anuj dramatically announces that Anupama has agreed to marry him. Aadhya is thrilled and hugs them both.

Dolly, however, disapprovingly asks if they aren’t embarrassed to be marrying at their age. Pakhi, Toshu, and Dimpy criticize them, saying it will bring them shame. Kinjal sarcastically congratulates them. However, Bala and Indra stand by Anuj and Anupama, saying they’re happy for the couple. Toshu mocks them, but Bala fires back. Pakhi, upset, questions what the children will think. Dolly adds that they’ll believe their Dadi is shameless for getting married again.
