Anupama 19th January 2025 Written Update
The episode starts with Parag entering his room, reflecting on Anupama’s words. He breaks a walnut with his fingers. Khyati enters and says, “I didn’t know what happened with Baa and you on the road, but from what I know about Anupama behen, she and her daughter are really good.” He throws the broken walnut aside. She offers him lemon juice, saying that Baa had drank it, and he should do the same. He sits and drinks it. She asks if he’s missing Tinku, and says she’s also missing him. She adds that Tinku is upset with her. Parag wonders why sons become strangers as they grow up. He says that when he calls, Tinku doesn’t pick up, and when he does, he complains about being bothered. “I’ve conquered the world, but I couldn’t become a successful father,” he says. She responds that she is a mother, but still yearns to be a mother. She says he brings her many gifts, but all she wants is Tinku. Parag tells her that he needs to make two important calls and will return shortly. He says two things: Kanji was good, and secondly, she must not meet or speak to that mother-daughter duo. “Even if you apologize to God a thousand times, you should never say Jai Shri Krishna.”
Rahi mentions that they thought a lot, but those people don’t deserve their work. Anupama agrees, saying nobody can work for them. Janki behen enters and says that Sarita has canceled their big order, claiming her husband works for the Kothari company, and if they do catering, he’ll be thrown out. Toshu criticizes Anupama for her habit of lecturing. Anupama replies that she’s ready to pay any price to speak the truth. Pakhi questions why she’s troubling them. Anupama tells Pakhi to go outside and work, calling her lazy, and warns that she’ll throw her out. Rahi asserts it wasn’t their fault, but the other party’s. Toshu tells them to lecture on the street to earn money. Prem, angered, walks off.
Prarthana asks Gautam if he’s going somewhere. Gautam replies that yes, he’s going, and questions if she’s his mother or warden to track his movements. He receives a call and orders a detailed report about two people, stating that he needs to break their egos. Prarthana urges him not to do this, but Gautam insists that he won’t be defeated by a woman, and he will settle the score with them.
Anupama tells Kaveri to ask Kanha ji why her destiny is so cruel. She shares her recent struggles and cries, expressing that she’s not mad enough to cut Parag’s kite, but he accused her of theft. She explains that, while they’ve lived in big houses, they never did such things. “Middle-class people have two things: life and respect,” she says. “Yesterday, I fought for Radha’s life, and today, I fought for Rahi and my respect.” She fears that this will be the beginning of a new storm.
Mita and her son enjoy food made by Anupama. Her son praises the food, and Badshah, the younger son, enters and says their theft has been caught. Anil arrives and questions why they’re eating when Mota Bhai specifically asked them not to. Mita defends the food, saying it’s tasty, and that Khyati had given them the order. She suggests that they should offer the food to calm Mota Bhai’s anger. Badshah threatens to call him, but Anil stops him and asserts that it’s the elder son’s job to handle matters. Raja intervenes, saying he will handle it. Anil insists that no mistakes should happen. Badshah blackmails them, demanding video games, and they agree to bring them.
Prem drives in anger, reflecting that he never expected to face Parag Kothari again, but enough is enough. Parag ends a video call. His Baa tells him to stop, but he responds that he’s not so tired that he can’t take time for his family. He massages her feet, and she expresses gratitude for having a son like him. He returns the sentiment, saying he’s grateful to have a mother like her. Moti Baa suggests putting some responsibility on Anil, Raja, and Gautam. Parag remarks that Raja is a cheerful guy, while Gautam is only a son-in-law and can’t be like a real son. Anil, he says, is unable to make decisions on his own and only does what Parag instructs. She asks about Tinku, and Parag admits that Tinku could be a bigger businessman than him, but he refuses to come home. Just then, Prem enters and shouts, “Parag Kothari!” Parag recalls Prem’s childhood memories. Prem approaches and touches Baa’s feet. Everyone is shocked.
Prem smashes the table glass and says, “You only know how to hurt and cause pain.” He continues, “I went far away from you, but you know how to hurt me even from a distance. You hurt me when you hurt Rahi and Anu Maam.” Moti Baa asks him how he can speak to Parag this way, reminding him that Parag is his father. Prem retorts that he is his father, but not the father of the world. Parag asks if Prem and Khyati wanted him to come back home. Moti Baa scolds Prem, asking what happened to his values. Prem says he wants Parag to apologize to Anu Maam and Rahi. Gautam steps in and asks why. Prem responds that he hasn’t spoken to Gautam, and Parag refuses to apologize. Moti Baa asks why Prem returned after so many years, not to hug his family but to complain. Anil tries to convince him to forget the past and hug Parag, but Prem says, “Don’t interfere, Kaka.” Parag tells him not to interfere either. Mita asks Prem about his relationship with Anupama, given how fiercely he’s fighting his family. Prem reveals that Anu Maam is like a mother to him. He says, “When my own family hurt me, she took care of me. She gave me the love of a mother, which I never got here.” He adds that she gave him a home, a family, and taught him cooking. “I am the respected chef of Anu ki Rasoi, whose food you refused to eat,” he says. “There are two important people in my life: Anu Maam and Rahi. If anyone harms them, I will not leave them.”
Anupama is anxious about their losses, but Rahi reassures her not to stress. Anupama shares that she saw Vanraj Shah in Parag Kothari. Rahi tells her not to worry about them. “You don’t need to get your daughter married into that family,” she says. “They’ll forget about us, and we should forget about them too.”
Prem tells Parag that if he misuses his power and tries to destroy Anu ki Rasoi, then he’s the same as Parag—full of anger and attitude. “If you can destroy, so can I,” he warns. Moti Baa claims they’ve turned Prem against them. Prem counters that they didn’t know he’s a Kothari. Gautam questions if they were unaware of this, but Prem insists, “Believe it or not, Mr. Don’t bug me.” Parag orders Prem not to misbehave with his son-in-law. Prem demands that Parag apologize to Anupama silently. He then announces, “I love Rahi and will marry her soon.” Everyone is stunned.
