Anupama

Anupama 17th September 2024 Written Update

The episode begins with Baa, Kinjal, and the kids arriving at Asha Bhavan. Ansh asks Bala Kaka about the Onam festival. Bala explains that it’s the official festival of Kerala, celebrated in honor of Vamana Avatar of Lord Vishnu and for the good harvest of the farms, lasting for 10 days. Pari remarks that she’s never heard about it before, to which Bala Kaka says it’s specific to Kerala. Babu ji adds that in India, many festivals are celebrated—some by everyone and others by individual states. Anupama compares the country to a flower vase filled with beautiful flowers of different cultures. Bala chimes in, likening Asha Bhavan to a place where people of all ages stay, from little Asha to Hasmukh Bhai. Babu ji jokes about Bala’s lack of hair, and Pari, impatient, asks if they’re only going to talk.

Meanwhile, Toshu calls Kinjal, asking for his cupboard keys. Dolly answers, telling him Kinjal is at Asha Bhavan, celebrating Onam. She taunts Toshu, saying he couldn’t even manage his wife, so how does he plan to manage the house? Toshu retorts, telling her to manage her own daughter. Angry, Toshu vows to do something unexpected. Meanwhile, Meenu talks to Sagar on the phone, explaining she couldn’t come because of her mother. Sagar reassures her, saying it’s for the best and mentions they’ll inform Anudi later.

Back at Asha Bhavan, Anupama tells Kinjal that she made the right decision and shouldn’t tolerate things anymore. She advises Baa to take charge, being the family matriarch. However, the conversation is paused as Aadhya asks Anuj when her mother will agree. Anuj teases her about patience, saying today’s kids are always in a rush. Aadhya admits she has none.

Anupama, Anuj, and the others dance to “Kashmir tu…” while Sagar imagines Meenu and smiles. Meenu briefly goes to the balcony, sees Sagar smiling, but is quickly called back by Dolly. Suddenly, Toshu storms in, shouting that he will put an end to the festivities. Just then, a builder arrives. Toshu confronts him, asking who he is. The builder introduces himself as the owner of both the Shah house and the current house they’re living in, saying that Vanraj had made a deal with him. Toshu is taken aback, asking for proof, and the builder shows the sales deed and property papers. He orders them to vacate the house within an hour, explaining that he doesn’t like people who show fake pride. Dimpy and Dolly are shocked and plead, but the builder remains firm.

Toshu argues that they should be given at least a month’s notice, to which the builder replies that while they will get their penthouse once it’s ready, they must vacate now. He further reveals that Vanraj had taken money for rent and an additional 50 lakhs for a project. Toshu, desperate, asks where they will go, and Dimpy reminds the builder of an earlier agreement with Toshu, which the builder denies, saying his deal was only with Vanraj. Showing some leniency, the builder gives them time until 6 PM but warns that after that, his men will throw them out.

The scene shifts back to Asha Bhavan, where everyone is enjoying themselves. Toshu, on the other hand, is frantic, questioning where they will go. Pakhi returns and asks Toshu about the builder’s demands. Dimpy accuses Toshu of lying about having dealt with the builder earlier. Toshu denies this and searches for the file with the deal’s terms. Dolly realizes they’re running out of time and insists they pack. The mood turns tense as Baa, Babu ji, and the others look lost. Meenu takes the kids inside, hoping for a resolution.

Everyone frantically searches for the file, but it remains missing. Babu ji asks Toshu if Vanraj really took money from the builder, but Toshu snaps, telling him to focus on finding the papers. Baa, distraught, worries where they’ll go in the rainy season, and Kinjal tries to calm her down. Pakhi chastises Toshu for lying, while Dimpy adds that everything was fine when Vanraj was around. Dolly remarks that things go wrong when power falls into the wrong hands.

Anupama, feeling overwhelmed, holds her head in frustration. Anuj tries to comfort her, reminding her that they’ve done everything they could. Anupama laments that everyone is suffering due to Vanraj and Toshu’s actions. Anuj asks if there’s anything more she can do for them. Anupama hopes that Toshu will find the file and some solution, but the family picture frame falling and shattering signals otherwise, leaving Baa in tears.

The children, sensing the gravity of the situation, wonder where they will stay. Pari innocently asks if they’ll end up like homeless people, and Meenu reassures her that Toshu will find a solution. Meanwhile, Toshu, in frustration, breaks Vanraj’s photo frame and blames him for ruining the family. He bitterly recalls Vanraj’s constant talk about family, saying he ultimately destroyed them.

Anupama and Anuj, standing outside, see the builder’s men approaching the house. Anupama expresses her concern for Baa and Babu ji, as they must be feeling awful. Anuj warns her that if Toshu and Pakhi misbehave, he won’t tolerate it. The residents of Asha Bhavan comment on the situation, with Indra noting that Anupama always forgives despite how Toshu and Pakhi treat her, comparing her to all mothers who can’t be strict. Bala adds that sometimes, mothers need to be firm. As the situation intensifies, the builder’s goons arrive and force their way into the house, ignoring Anupama and Anuj’s attempts to stop them.
