Anupama 15th September 2024 Written Update
The episode starts with Pari telling Anupama that Visarjan has been completed, and now Papa will not let them come back here. Mahi turns to Anupama and says, “Bappa has gone to his parents, but where will I go? My Mummy and Papa have left me, and I don’t know where they are. Toshu Bhai said he’ll throw me out because I’m a burden to him, and some bad man will take me away.” Anupama consoles her, asking her not to cry. Kinjal steps in and reassures Mahi, saying, “Toshu was just angry. Don’t worry, nothing bad will happen to you. This is your home too.”
Toshu interrupts, saying, “No bad guy will take you, because I’ll personally drop you at the orphanage.” Anupama, shocked by his words, asks how he could speak to Mahi like that. Babu ji reminds Toshu, “She is your sister.” Toshu angrily responds, “She’s not my sister, she’s Kavya’s daughter, and she’s a burden to me.” Anupama shouts at Toshu, but he cuts her off, saying, “You have no right to shout at me. I’ve broken ties with you.”
Mahi, visibly upset, refuses to go to an orphanage or hostel. Anupama steps in firmly and says, “If you think this girl is a burden, then I will raise Mahi as my own daughter. Mahi, you can stay with your Badi Mummy and Aadhya didi. Don’t think for a moment that you don’t have a family or a home. We all are your family, and Asha Bhavan is your home.” Toshu mocks Anupama, laughing and saying, “Asha Bhavan might be sealed any day, and yet you want to take on the responsibility of raising your sautan’s daughter. Fine, you can keep her. I don’t want her back in my house.” He walks away, leaving the room tense.
Baa, worried, asks Anupama, “How will you manage all this?” Anupama confidently replies, “I will manage, Baa. Asha Behen built Asha Bhavan so that no one is deprived of a family or a home.” Dimpy chimes in, asking, “What if someone has objections?” The residents of Asha Bhavan immediately voice their support for Mahi, saying, “We have all been through similar struggles and know her pain. This is Mahi’s home too.” Pari then asks Anupama if they will still be able to meet Mahi, to which Anupama reassures, “Of course you can.” Mahi, with newfound hope, tells Aadhya that she will now stay with her. Aadhya excitedly responds, “I’m happy to have a little sister now!” Anuj, standing beside them, adds, “We will raise Mahi as our own daughter.”
Later, the residents host a small welcome party for Mahi. Mahi, feeling special, asks, “Why is there a party today?” Anupama smiles and says, “Because you are our VIP today.” Bala adds, “We always host a welcome party for anyone who joins us.” Anupama recalls how they couldn’t celebrate when Anuj and Aadhya joined because of their health issues. Anuj chimes in, “But today, we will celebrate properly!” Aadhya gives Mahi a magic wand and tells her, “You decide what everyone should do.” Mahi, surprised, asks, “Am I really the VIP?” Anuj playfully responds, “No, you’re the VVIP!” Anupama adds, “Remember, you’re the heroine of your own story.” Mahi nods and asks Anuj to start by dancing.
The children sneak in to watch as Anuj dances joyfully to “Aankhiyon Se Goli Maare.” The atmosphere is filled with laughter and cheer as Bala kaka joins Anuj in the fun. Inside, Kinjal observes the happiness in Asha Bhavan and contrasts it with the tension in their own home. She admits to Baa, “They have nothing, yet they’re so happy. We have everything, but we’re so miserable. After seeing how Toshu behaves, I don’t want to stay with him anymore.” Titu, overhearing this, adds, “And I don’t want to stay with Dimpy.” Baa, concerned, stays quiet, but her worry grows.
The next morning, Babu ji asks Anupama how Mahi slept. Anupama says, “She slept well, Babu ji.” He suggests, “Maybe we should arrange for her to speak to Kavya on a video call once or twice a day, so she knows her mother still misses her.” Anupama agrees but expresses her concern, “I tried calling Kavya, but she didn’t pick up. She’s done so much for Mahi, even fought Mr. Shah to fulfill both parental roles. I just don’t understand what changed.” Babu ji tries to reassure her, saying, “Maybe Kavya is just working hard for Mahi’s future.”
As they continue talking, customers arrive at their stall. Anupama confidently tells Babu ji, “Our stall is doing well now. We’ll be able to pay the taxes soon.” Babu ji reminds her of their mounting expenses, including Aadhya’s school fees, Anuj’s legal case, and Mahi’s fees. Anupama remains hopeful, saying, “Anuj is looking for a job and will get one soon. Everything will work out.”
Meanwhile, Dimpy wakes up to find Titu packing his bags. Concerned, she asks, “Where are you going?” Titu responds coldly, “To see my mother. I don’t know when I’ll be back.” Dimpy tries to stop him, insisting, “You can’t leave without taking responsibility.” Titu, frustrated, tells her to focus on her share of the property and not on their relationship. Dimpy, determined, unpacks his bag, refusing to let him go.
Elsewhere, Anuj reads the newspaper and is shocked to see that Ankush Kapadia has published false accusations about him committing fraud in his own company. Furious, he throws the paper aside. Anupama, concerned, approaches him. He vents, “Ankush is trying to ruin my name. I can rebuild the company, but rebuilding my reputation won’t be easy.” Anupama reassures him, “Remember, you are like the sun. Clouds may cover the sun for a while, but they can’t diminish its light. Ankush and Barkha will be exposed just like Gulati and Rahul were.” Anuj, feeling encouraged, repeats after her, “I can and I will.”
Back at home, Toshu and Dimpy are arguing again, with Toshu losing his temper and breaking dishes. Baa watches helplessly as Dimpy demands her share of the house, and Toshu counters by asking her to contribute to the household expenses. Meenu starts picking up the broken crockery, and Dolly, concerned, asks her why she’s doing it. Meenu simply replies, “Because someone has to.”
As the episode ends, Anupama lovingly serves breakfast to Anuj, complimenting him on his handsomeness. Anuj playfully asks who she’s talking about, and they share a lighthearted moment. Anupama reflects on how far they’ve come and the challenges they still face together.
