Anupama 15th October 2024 Written Update
The episode begins with Aadhya urging the crowd that any donations they make will be doubled by Kanha ji and encourages them to give generously. Her friend questions her statement, prompting Aadhya to explain that Kanha ji understands her good intentions, so a small lie is acceptable. When asked if Kanha ji personally told her this, Aadhya elaborates that there are two types of lies: one spoken by the rich to fill their coffers and another by the poor to fill their stomachs. She asserts that if she is deemed bad in her father’s eyes, there’s no reason to appear good in others’. She vows that no child in their ashram will go hungry. A man approaches, calling her Rahi, and requests that she perform classical dance since the dancer hasn’t arrived. Aadhya reminisces about dancing with Anupama and declines. The man offers her 2000 Rs, but Aadhya counters by demanding 5000 Rs, the amount he was set to give to the dancer. He agrees and hands her the money.
Anupama gazes at a photo of Anuj and Aadhya in her locket, tears streaming down her face as she calls out “Choti.” A guy named Prem hears her mention “Choti” and asks about her. He begins to play music on his instrument. Anupama ties small stones in a handkerchief, and as Aadhya performs on stage, she notices that the ghungroo is broken. She ties it to her dupatta and starts dancing. Anupama joins in, dancing as well, but just as Aadhya twirls, she stumbles and falls. Anupama is also about to fall, but Prem catches her and asks if she’s okay. The crowd cheers “Rahi.” Aadhya, recognizing their concern, insists there’s no need to worry; her fall is a sign of devotion to Kanha ji. Prem comments that he knows she is one of those women who pray early in the morning, which is why he stopped her from falling into the water. He recites poetry and reminds her of Anuj, sharing that he will be heading to Dwarka the next day, referencing his grandfather’s belief that lost individuals can be found there. Anupama declares her intent to search for herself and gives him money to present at the temple, reciting poetry in return. He asks for her name, and she replies, “Anupama,” before leaving.
As Aadhya and her friend depart, some foreigners approach, offering her money. Initially, she refuses, but they insist, and she eventually accepts it. They ask her what the name Rahi means, to which she replies that it means traveler. Meanwhile, some ladies confront Anupama about an outstanding payment for an order. Toshu arrives and says he will handle it. Anupama asks him to call them and inquires about the payment. Toshu agrees and leaves. Anupama reflects on Anuj, his voice echoing in her mind. Missing him deeply, she gazes at a photo frame of Aadhya and Anuj, realizing that memories can’t simply be erased. She expresses that while she sees only his face when dancing, Aadhya resembles him in that she also left her.
The children ask Vilas uncle when they will be served food, expressing their hunger. Aadhya arrives, announcing that they will have a special breakfast of kachori and jalebi, bringing joy to the kids. Vilas praises her for maintaining discipline among everyone. She serves them kachori and jalebi, encouraging them to shout “Jai Kanhaiyya Lal Ki!” Anupama reflects that although she feels Anuj is still present in spirit, her Kapadia ji has left this world. She reassures herself that a mother’s hope never wanes, and she continues to visit the police station daily to check on the missing report she filed for Aadhya, ensuring her photo is circulated everywhere. She believes that if fate is obstinate, she will be even more determined to find her daughter.
Vilas inquires where she acquired so much food. Aadhya shares that it feels like she’s won a lottery since she settled all the debts at Jagat’s store. The kids express concern about the future, with one girl saying that hunger makes her feel like crying. Aadhya insists that this is not the way to live, where they see the moon more often than they get bread. She assures them they deserve a better life filled with education, vowing to do anything for their happiness. Vilas hopes that Kanha ji will provide them with a connection to joy.
Mahi approaches Anupama, insisting she should not keep anything from her, claiming she is her best friend. Mahi reveals that she chose to stay with Anupama because she is the best mother in the world. She asserts that she cannot live without her, just as Choti cannot. Mahi claims she has completed all the chores so Anupama can rest. Anupama reflects on Prem’s words regarding Maha Puja during Dussera, considering that offering a peacock feather along with Prasad might help them find the missing person. Anupama prays to Kanha ji, asking for her daughter to be returned, promising to perform a Maha Yagya.
Prem arrives in Dwarka, telling his friend it is a place of great spiritual energy and that he is making a connection with Kanha ji. His friend mentions he will check the location with Sahil. Meanwhile, Aadhya feels a strong urge to help her kids. Prem approaches a river but slips and falls in. Aadhya notices him and thinks he’s just filming a video, but her friend warns that he is truly drowning. Aadhya jumps into the water to save him. His friends arrive, witnessing the scene as Aadhya and Prem share a moment of connection.
