Anupama

Anupama 14th October 2024 Written Update

The episode opens with Anupama’s house, Krishnakunj, at Vrindavan Chowk in Ahmedabad, after a time leap of several years. Baa is sitting on the swing, watching as Babu ji arrives home. Babu ji searches for his watch, and Baa greets him with “Hare Krishna,” reminding him that it’s Navratri and he’s wearing outside shoes in the house. Babu ji struggles to hear her and asks why she hasn’t joined him for Surya Namaskar in the park. Baa suggests he do it with their beloved Anupama.

Anupama is seen with Kaveri and her daughter Gauri, praying for her daughter, as today marks her birthday. She explains that when good deeds are done, Kanha ji showers his blessings. Toshu enters, calling out to Anupama, mentioning an international investor. Anupama speaks with Mr. Irick, who wants to know why he should invest in her venture, Anu ki Rasoi. Anupama emphasizes that while people invest in brands, Anu ki Rasoi represents a trust formed by all the women working there, a bond with their customers who feel like family. She expresses the hard work of all the women involved and states they need a chance to prove themselves. Mr. Irick dismisses her, stating they aren’t interested in a small brand, and ends the call. Anupama reflects on how people rarely give chances.

Toshu comments that investors only seek profit and suggests compromising on food ingredients to cut costs. Anupama counters that losing customers is a significant loss, and compromising quality would hurt them more. Toshu points out that she’s left only with 10 percent of the profits after reinvesting in employee welfare, leaving them with little. Anupama insists that blessings, good karma, and the ability to provide food and shelter are invaluable. She agrees that she desires profit as well. Toshu urges her to stop thinking about others and worries about finding a new investor. Anupama prays and eats Methi Dana, claiming it’s good for health.

Ansh runs in, playing football, and accidentally hits Anupama. She scolds him lightly, to which he replies that he’s drawn to her charm. He jokingly asks her to slap him, but she refuses, saying no one will hurt him. He mentions her anger used to be legendary but has faded since having a son. Anupama asks if he’s only gaming or if he has a girlfriend. Ansh jokes about modern relationships, saying they’re all situational now, unlike the past. Anupama muses that sometimes love is so profound that even a thousand lifetimes aren’t enough to express it, thinking of Anuj. Anupama’s theme plays as Ansh teases her about her daughter’s birthday cake.

Anupama serves tea to Baa, who chuckles, and Pakhi arrives. Anupama greets her warmly. Pakhi tells her not to call her “sweety,” and after a brief chat, Anupama encourages her to make lunch. Pakhi mentions she needs coffee for her video shoot. Babu ji chimes in, agreeing with Anupama’s choice of tea. Kinjal is seen on the phone, stating they’ll be in the area for 400 years. Pari complains about a shrunk dress, and Kinjal advises her to focus on her health. Ishani joins them, and Pakhi praises her perfect weight while taking photos of her. Kinjal warns Pari against stress eating, but Toshu encourages her to indulge.

Anupama praises Pari for her embroidery skills and tells her that talent can’t be hidden. She encourages her to lose weight for herself, not for others, which makes Pari smile. Kinjal, however, interrupts, telling Anupama that her motivational speeches aren’t needed and that those who are overweight face constant taunts. Anupama attempts to interject, but Kinjal accuses her of not knowing how to raise her children, or else her daughter wouldn’t have left. Just then, Ansh, Ishani, and Pari welcome Mahi, who hugs Anupama. Anupama blesses her, and they prepare to cut the cake. Everyone notices the name “Choti” on the cake, and apologies ensue. Mahi reassures them that it’s okay and appreciates the love Anupama has given her in place of her lost sister. Baa mentions that Mahi ran away twice, while Pakhi expresses disdain for the name. Toshu suggests wiping it off, but Anupama intervenes, stating it’s her daughter’s name and shouldn’t be erased.

Ansh comments on the family dynamics, noting that despite their arguments, they’re very connected to Anu Maa. Babu ji praises Anupama for uniting the family, giving Toshu a job, providing a home for Pakhi, and fighting to reclaim their house from a builder. He asserts that Anupama is the sacred thread holding the family together and reminds them that they wouldn’t have survived without her efforts. Pakhi takes Ishani away, while Baa asks Anupama for ginger tea. Babu ji lifts Anupama’s spirits before departing. Ansh remarks that although her children can be annoying, her grandchildren are lovely. Pari expresses her dissatisfaction with her appearance. Anupama encourages her to go to her game launch, and she leaves. Anupama tells Mahi to celebrate her birthday with friends, and once she’s gone, Anupama reflects on Anuj and Aadhya, crying as she falls near a photo of God in the shop, pleading for a reunion with her daughter.

In Dwarka, Aadhya is seen dressed as Kanha ji, stating he didn’t steal butter and is innocent, as part of a play.

Anupama wanders elsewhere, weeping. She spots a Kanha ji procession and implores him to help her reunite with her daughter, emphasizing her longing. A voiceover suggests that a mother’s love transcends distance and time.
