Anupama 11th September 2024 Written Update
The episode begins with Aadhya announcing the next couple, Sagar and Meenu, for the dance. Ansh encourages them to dance together. They perform on the song *Gustakh Dil*, and towards the end, Meenu slips but Sagar catches her, causing Dolly to clap sarcastically. Anupama and the others join in applauding. Ishu then says it’s time for the next turn and calls out Anu Nani’s name. Aadhya notices Bala’s name on the chit but quickly changes it to Anuj’s. They encourage Anupama to dance. Anupama hesitates, suggesting they recite poetry instead, but everyone insists on the dance. Anuj asks her softly if they can dance together. They start dancing, and soon the kids join in with Anuj. Aadhya watches them and imagines them dancing like SRK and Kajol in *DDLJ*. As the dance ends, everyone claps. As Anupama turns to leave, her pallu gets caught in Anuj’s watch. Anuj takes the opportunity to recite a poetic proposal, symbolizing their connection.
The next morning, Anupama performs the *Tulsi Puja* and *Surya Namaskar*. Anuj joins her and prays alongside. Anupama prays for Baa and Babuji’s health, for the happiness of everyone at Asha Bhavan, and for Aadhya’s eternal smile. Anuj, in his prayer, asks God to bless him so that he can love Anupama even more than before. After the prayers, Anupama applies *tilak* on Anuj, and he offers her *modak* in return. They sit down for coffee and Anuj snaps a selfie, saying it’s the start of their new life, and they had promised to take a selfie together every day. He says, “I love you, Anu.” Anupama, a bit shy, says she has work to do and leaves, but she glances back at him from a distance. Anuj looks at their selfie. Nandita remarks that they look like Radha and Krishna. Anuj smiles and says, “Who will explain that to her?” Sagar teases, saying, “You’re such a handsome man, Anudi will surely fall for you.” Anuj shares how love used to move slowly in his time, but nowadays, things are faster, and he’s fine with waiting. Nandita and Sagar admire his patient love.
At the dining table, Toshu arrives and places a box on the table. Kinjal and Dimpy ask what it is. Toshu declares that it’s a contribution box. He says if anyone wants to feel like they’re in a *dharamshala*, they can go to Asha Bhavan, but if they want to stay here, they must contribute. Baa gets irritated and tells him to stop, threatening to send him to a mental asylum if he continues. Toshu rudely tells her to stay silent or he’ll take money from her too. Titu intervenes, telling Toshu not to misbehave with Baa, but Toshu demands that Titu pay first, questioning why he’s always at home and not earning. Dimpy declares that while they’ll contribute to household expenses, they won’t let anyone take away their rightful share. Toshu sarcastically praises her attitude. Kinjal finally speaks up, saying enough is enough. Toshu, however, continues, blaming their father for running off with crores of rupees, leaving him with the responsibility of the household. He tells Dolly to contribute for herself and Meenu. Meenu, upset, says, “You can never match Mamu. He has dignity, grace, and respect. His thinking isn’t low like yours.” Dolly chimes in, saying she can still slap Toshu. Toshu replies, “I’m not a child anymore. If you try, you might fall.” Baa turns to Kinjal, lamenting that the house is falling apart. Dolly agrees with Toshu to some extent, saying that everyone has an equal right to the property. She drops 500 rupees into the contribution box, saying it’s for Meenu’s and her expenses for the day. She also demands her share, mentioning that she’s spoken to the builder and knows how much money they’ve received.
Meanwhile, Aadhya hopes for Anupama and Anuj’s reunion. She reflects on how she used to avoid going to school, but now she’s eagerly waiting to return. Anupama approaches her, makes her sit down, and encourages her to start studying again. She advises her not to wait until she’s formally admitted to school, but to revise what she already knows. Anupama tells Aadhya that her father is working hard to get her admitted into a top school and encourages her to start her studies now. Aadhya happily says that Sagar Bhaiyya has promised to help her, and Bala Kaka, who is an expert in math, will teach her. Anupama smiles and prays for Aadhya’s dreams to come true.
Meanwhile, Meenu expresses her disappointment that since Mamu has gone, everyone’s true colors have been revealed. She even thinks to herself that her mother isn’t much better and regrets not doing her internship in Russia. Dolly overhears her and firmly tells her that she will drop her at college, and if Meenu resists, she’ll send her back to the US to live with her father. As they leave, Sagar arrives in an auto. Dolly makes a snide remark about him before taking Meenu away. Both Sagar and Meenu resolve to fight for their love.
Later, Anuj steps out, dressed in a sharp shirt and trousers. Anupama sees him and compliments him, saying he looks good. Anuj smiles and tells her that he’s going to his office.
