Anupama 10th September 2024 Written Update
The episode begins with Aadhya encouraging Anupama to move forward with the engagement. She tells Anuj to go ahead as well. Anuj, with a smile, says, “No more tears, no more complaints, no more misunderstandings, and nothing else now.” He gets down on one knee and asks Anupama, “Will you marry your Anuj again?” Meenu, Aadhya, Dimpy, Titu, and the kids cheer for her to say yes. The kids eagerly express that they want to see their wedding. Kinjal joins in, saying, “Mummy, say yes.” Anuj, feeling the strain, stands up and jokes, “How long will you take? My knee is starting to hurt.” Anupama, feeling emotional, thinks to herself, “I know why you stood up, you understand my feelings.” She is overjoyed but keeps her thoughts to herself. Anuj, sensing her hesitation, tells everyone that Anupama needs time. Babuji, Kinjal, and the others encourage her to take her time. Anuj adds, “But I can’t wait forever.” Baa suggests they leave, and asks Babuji to go meet Dolly. Anuj glances at Anupama one last time. Anupama finally says, “I’ll come.” Anuj reassures her, “Take your time, but make sure you come.”
Back at the Shah house, Babuji confronts Dolly, asking what the purpose of the drama was. Dolly expresses her frustration, saying, “My childhood home has been sold to a builder, and no one told me anything! Am I not a daughter of this house?” Toshu tries to defend himself, saying, “We thought Papa had informed you.” Dolly snaps, “Where is my right? If everyone is getting penthouses, where is mine?” Babuji reminds her, “You said you didn’t want anything.” Dolly, now adamant, says she wants her share. Meenu, confused, asks, “Why?” Toshu reveals, “Papa ran away with crores, and we have nothing left to give you.” Dolly insists that she wants a penthouse from the builder. Babuji tells everyone to make their decisions.
Anupama prays to God, admitting that she wants to spend her life with Anuj because there is so much love between them. But the thought of marriage has her feeling uncertain. She asks Bappa to guide her.
Meanwhile, Dolly tells everyone that she has returned to India. Meenu asks if Papa has agreed to move. Dolly coldly responds, “Your Papa doesn’t care about me.” Baa is taken aback. Dolly declares that she will now manage all the property, leaving Toshu shocked. Baa asks Meenu if everything is alright between her parents. Meenu explains that they used to fight a lot, which is why Dolly moved to Russia before coming here.
Anuj tries to comfort Aadhya, telling her, “Even if Anupama doesn’t agree, we are still one. Don’t worry, we’ve always been united, and your happiness matters the most to me.” Meanwhile, Anupama looks at the ghungroo, thinking that Anuj must be waiting for her answer.
Toshu, on the other hand, is upset with Pakhi for inviting Dolly. He believes she came to ruin Meenu and Sagar’s plans but is now putting their lives at risk by demanding her share. Kinjal tries to calm him down, offering him some chocolate.
Baa reflects, saying, “Being a parent is both the greatest joy and a curse. We’ve seen so much—poverty, illness, Vanraj’s divorce, public humiliation, and now, Vanraj has run away.” Babuji adds, “We thought Dolly was happy, but that was just an illusion. She wants her share now.” Baa sighs, “Dolly has brought a storm with her.”
Kinjal tries to ease the tension, offering Toshu chocolate again. Toshu rants about how Dolly didn’t contribute to her parental home but always supported her in-laws, and now she’s here to claim her rights. He speculates, “I bet Sanjay left her, and that’s why she’s come back.” Kinjal teases, “You should write stories.” Toshu grumbles, “Maybe I’ll ask Dolly to pay rent.” Kinjal, amused, tells him to get psychiatric help.
Later, as Anupama is walking in the hallway, she slips, but Anuj catches her just in time. The song *Rang De* plays in the background. She walks away without a word. Babuji, observing this, praises Anuj for giving Anupama the time she needs. Anuj replies, “I gave her time before, and I’m doing it again now.” Babuji gently warns, “But this time, it’s your test.” Anuj acknowledges, “If her happiness means being away from me, then I’ll accept it.” Babuji reassures him, “Her happiness lies with you. She has fulfilled every relationship with all her heart, but she has never received complete love in return. She’s scared of losing. Keep trying, and when she realizes that her happiness with you won’t be short-lived, she’ll come running to you.” Anuj promises to keep trying, believing that their love story will have a fairy tale ending. They hug.
Meanwhile, Meenu tries to sneak out, but Dolly stops her, saying, “You’re not going to Asha Bhavan.” Meenu explains that she needs to go there for some arrangements. Dolly, suspicious, says it’s good that Pakhi informed her. Meenu, frustrated, retorts, “You believe her and not me?” She insists that she will go to Asha Bhavan and drags Dolly along with her.
Aadhya then explains the rules of a game, and the kids start drawing chits. The first names drawn are Baa and Babuji. Babuji recites a poem for Baa, making her blush. Next, it’s Titu and Nandita’s turn. Dimpy feels upset. Babuji reminds everyone to enjoy the game in the right spirit. Titu, feeling nervous, says, “I’m not good with poetry like Anuj and Babuji, but in simple words, I’ll say what a friend means to me. People misunderstand our friendship.” Aadhya announces that Ishu and Mahi will pick the next names.
