Ibadat tells Dua that she isn’t going to court to win but to test Subhan’s conscience. If he doesn’t speak in her favor today, it will be easier for her to divorce him.
In the courtroom, Kaynaat advises Subhan to remain silent regardless of the circumstances. Mannat tells him that they are doing this to free him from Ibadat, who has done nothing but lie to him. Ibadat arrives and takes her position as a lawyer. The judge enters, talking to his wife on the phone, and everyone laughs as they see him trying to appease her. The judge compliments his wife’s family members to make her happy, and the laughter continues. He ends the call and remarks that wives make our lives difficult, but they never leave us. Ibadat and Subhan exchange glances.
The court case begins, and Mannat urges the judge to finalize the divorce. The judge tells her to take a seat, commenting that she behaves as if she is the judge. He asks her to be quiet and invites Ibadat to start her defense. She nods, stating her position remains the same: if her husband stays silent against the vile allegations against her, she is ready to divorce him. The judge questions her about giving up so easily, prompting him to ask Subhan why he remains silent. Mannat claims she is playing an emotional game. She continues, accusing Ibadat of being characterless and revealing that they have brought the man she had an affair with to testify. Subhan’s lawyer requests to call Armaan to the witness stand. Once he’s on the stand, he admits to having an affair with Ibadat. Kaynaat agrees, stating that Ibadat used to meet him behind everyone’s back. The judge asks Armaan about his relationship with Ibadat, and although he seems frightened, Mannat urges him to speak. He admits he is scared of Ibadat but continues, saying that she claimed to love him. Now, however, he realizes she has been lying to both him and Subhan. The lawyer then asks him if he ever had a physical relationship with her. Armaan responds that in this modern era, they crossed a line, even having a consummation night before Subhan. Ibadat feels disgusted hearing that, thinking about Subhan’s continued silence. Armaan further insults her, saying that she is characterless and can easily open her legs. Subhan, enraged, shouts “enough” and attacks Armaan, beating him severely. Everyone tries to intervene, but the judge tells them to calm down. Subhan continues his assault, declaring he won’t spare Armaan for speaking ill of Ibadat, whom he insists is his wife. Ibadat feels elated hearing his words. As Subhan prepares to throw a table at Armaan, Mannat intervenes, asking why he is protecting Ibadat when everyone knows she is characterless. Subhan yells at her to shut up and slaps her hard, asserting that his Ibadat is not characterless. Mannat is stunned by his reaction, while Ibadat smiles, thankful that Subhan has taken a stand for her.
