Jhanak 20th October 2024 Written Episode
The episode opens with Jhanak asking Pandit ji about the people around her. He explains the ashram and its inhabitants, then inquires about her name. She replies that she doesn’t remember anything. He reassures her, saying not to be scared; her memory will return soon. A man adds that Sadhu Baba was a renowned doctor who came to treat the poor for free, promising that he will help her too. Pandit ji agrees to try to ensure her recovery. Shrishti insults both Jhanak and Lalon, while Anjana is in tears, getting frustrated and scolding Lal. Lal and Bipasha get into an argument. Anjana questions Arshi about how someone could harm their family. Pandit ji mentions that all the girls in the ashram are like his daughters, telling her not to worry, as he teaches some men to become independent and responsible. He expresses a desire to find out where her family is and if they abandoned her. She attempts to recall her memories.
She ultimately refuses to push herself. He reassures her that she will remember in due time. Anjana delivers a lecture to Arshi and Shrishti. Tanuja stands up to Anjana. Anjana laments the loss of Jhanak. Jhanak expresses her wish to stay in the ashram. Pandit ji encourages her to find some work to help the community. He asks Gita about the dancing troupe and instructs the girls to perform. Anjana feels disheartened and leaves. Shubh suggests they say Jhanak was at their house, claiming they can be witnesses to her absence since her body is missing. He urges Shrishti to lie to protect their secret. He insists that they need to remain united. Appu declares that she won’t eat, as she saw on TV that Jhanak is dead. Appu sits crying while Anuradha and Lalon try to comfort her. Jhanak observes the girls dancing and, feeling inspired, gets up to join in. Pandit ji looks on in surprise.
Lalon instructs Kajal to take care of Appu, who continues to cry for Jhanak. Lalon reassures her that they will seek justice for Jhanak. Kajal persuades Appu to eat something, feeding her with care.
Pandit ji tells Jhanak not to worry and to sit down with some water. He mentions that if she recognizes Urvashi, she might identify someone here. He then asks a man to call for the other pandit ji. Appu sings while crying, and Anuradha and Lalon join in their sorrow. Lalon expresses a sense of hopelessness regarding Jhanak. Pandit ji remarks on his past struggles, stating he brought Brijbhushan here and cared for him.
