Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 19th October 2024 Written Update
The episode begins with Abhira comforting Charu and alleviating her fears. She remarks, “I truly believe I did a lot of social work in my past life, which is why I have a husband like Armaan. He supports me immensely and knows me better than I know myself.” Charu responds, “He is a masterpiece. What will happen to me now? Help me—what qualities should my life partner have?” Just then, Armaan arrives and says, “The truth is, choose a life partner who tells you the truth; if someone lies to you, it will break your heart.” Abhira grows worried. Sanjay suggests that everyone should put their dreams on hold for a while. Krish brings Dadi in on a wheelchair, and as her keys fall, Vidya picks up the keyring and tucks it into her waist. She begins bossing around, which angers Dadi. Vidya, undeterred, insists, “Let’s welcome them; they have arrived.” Neeraj and his family enter. Charu remarks, “Good looks aren’t everything; sincerity and honesty also matter, just like Armaan said.” Sajjan interjects, “Mala, you are forgetting something.” Mala apologizes and adjusts her ghunghat. Sanjay and Kajal welcome the guests.
Sanjay introduces Mala as the elder of the house. Vidya steps in front of Dadi to greet the guests and introduces everyone, stating, “Maasa isn’t keeping well, so I’m managing the house now.” Charu arrives with Abhira and Armaan. Madhav introduces Armaan and Abhira. Ruhi enters, and Abhira shows concern for her. Sanjay observes. Ruhi playfully warns Abhira to be careful, jokingly laughing as she does.
Mala comments on the strong bond between the bahus, asking if they are truly sisters. Abhira confirms, saying, “Yes, Ruhi is my elder sister.” Mala expresses her admiration, saying, “Wow, that’s wonderful; they look so lovely together.” Madhav advises Abhira to stay silent and mentions he’ll discuss things with Vidya later. Charu and Neeraj step aside for a conversation. Charu confides, “I don’t know what to say; I know what I want from my life. My family and career are important, and I want to have a job after marriage.” Abhira turns to Armaan, asking, “Why did you say that? Are you upset?” He replies, “If people lie to each other, they won’t be happy.” Charu, feeling apologetic, says, “Sorry, this is my truth; I don’t think talking is useful.” Neeraj adds, “I’m sorry; I don’t know how to stop you. I want a life partner who is successful and inspires me, someone who will be my friend and make me smile.” Abhira inquires whether Neeraj is upset that they aren’t going to Dubai. Armaan dismisses it, stating, “No, you didn’t ask them to schedule the cases.” He walks away.
Dadi watches silently. Sanjay encourages them to share their decision. Abhira suggests asking Charu first. Sanjay expresses confidence in her wishes. Armaan insists she should have a chance to speak. He tells Neeraj, “You’ve only met Charu for 15 minutes; how can one decide to spend a life together? You both should meet and get to know each other.” Abhira adds, “This is about your life, Charu; just speak freely.” Charu declares, “Dad is right; I like Neeraj.” Everyone smiles at this revelation.
Abhira asks, “Are you sure?” Charu responds, “Just as Armaan supports you, I believe Neeraj will support me too.” Abhira then asks whether Neeraj appeared supportive or merely good-looking. Sanjay prompts Neeraj to share his decision, and he says, “I’m ready to marry Charu.” Sanjay congratulates Sajjan.
Everyone hugs in joy. Mala presents Charu with bangles, stating, “The Poddar family name is significant; no one remembers the Bansals anymore. I’ve even got the engagement date; the mahurat is in two days.” Dadi asks, “So soon?” Vidya replies, “We are ready.” Mala embraces her. Sanjay asks Kajal to distribute sweets to everyone, and both Kajal and Abhira serve them. Dadi observes the tension between Armaan and Abhira. Madhav questions what all the commotion was about. Vidya responds, “It’s okay if the engagement happens quickly.” Madhav expresses his concern about her behavior, stating, “You insulted my mother.” Vidya retorts, “She has insulted me as well; she favors Abhira over me. You also support Abhira and Armaan. You don’t stand up for me. You are a good father and son, but I wish you were a good husband too.” With that, she leaves. Dadi approaches Armaan and advises him to fulfill his duties as a husband and talk to Abhira. He hugs her, feeling downcast.
