Jhanak 17th October 2024 Written Episode
The episode begins with Anirudh arguing with Arshi and her family members. Arshi suggests that perhaps it’s their enemy who informed Jhanak about being taken somewhere. Shrishti interrupts, saying Arshi shouldn’t speak when she doesn’t know anything; Jhanak might have her own enemies who would misinterpret her actions. Anirudh expresses disbelief and leaves. Meanwhile, a pandit prays at the ghat and spots a car in the river. He calls for help, instructing the men to assist in retrieving the car and to check if anything is inside. Villagers rush to see what’s happening. Anirudh, Choton, Aditya, and others arrive at the police station to discuss the situation. Anirudh admits feeling helpless. Choton questions why the production guy would take her and if Tejas is involved, reminding everyone that he previously tried to kidnap Jhanak. He suggests they video call Tejas to confirm his whereabouts. Aditya agrees, mentioning that Jhanak had warned him about Tejas, and urges the inspector to include Tejas in the report.
The crowd manages to rescue Jhanak, and the pandit checks her pulse. The media arrives and begins taking pictures. The inspector receives a call and learns something urgent has come up, assuring Anirudh he will find Jhanak. Choton expresses concern that if Tejas takes Jhanak to Srinagar, it could spell trouble, vowing to protect her, insisting only Tejas could orchestrate this.
Choton encourages Anirudh to return home, and Aditya insists on joining them, unable to distance himself from the issue at hand. Lalon advises them to return home, promising to update the commissioner. Choton tells him to mention Tejas’s previous kidnapping attempt, implicating Shrishti as well, asserting they can’t escape consequences this time. Anirudh insists they shouldn’t exclude Arshi from the matter, noting Shrishti informs Arshi of everything. Choton agrees to keep Shrishti’s name out of it. Anirudh warns that if anything happens to Jhanak, he will retaliate against the entire world.
The pandit expresses uncertainty about Jhanak’s identity, fearing for her life. The reporter inquires about how to discover who she is, and the pandit asks her to spread the word. He admits he is just an ordinary person and cannot save her, suggesting they take Jhanak to the ashram and show her respect, regardless of her condition. They carry Jhanak away.
Lalon urges Anirudh to stay calm, noting he is still unwell. Anirudh questions why everyone is pursuing her and what she did to deserve this. He promises to bring Jhanak back and honor her, stating she is the reason he is alive. Aditya reminds him not to forget his promise. Upon arriving home, Choton reveals that Jhanak is still missing, prompting Bipasha to insult her, which leads to Anirudh’s reprimand.
Anirudh shouts that he loves Jhanak, shocking everyone. Arshi asks if he felt any hesitation in confessing this. Anirudh asserts he has nothing to hide and argues with the family. He scolds Lal and Bipasha for their petty politics and defends Choton, emphasizing their mutual respect. He tells Lal not to insult anyone, and when Lal questions whether Anirudh will physically confront him, Anirudh refuses, stating he has better options than violence. He insists that his dream was for the family to remain united, warning that without change, the family will fall apart. Arshi continues to malign Jhanak’s character, leading Anirudh to shout and put a stop to her comments. Anjana states that if they are intent on insulting Jhanak, there’s no stopping them. Anirudh admonishes Arshi, who tearfully claims that Anirudh never loved her, accusing him of pretending. Anirudh clarifies that he loves Jhanak, not her, granting her the freedom she sought. Shrishti asks Arshi if she wants to hear something else. Arshi protests that he constantly insults her. Shubh offers to speak with Anirudh, but Anirudh insists it won’t make a difference. Choton reminds everyone they came to get Tejas’s contact information from Shrishti. He suggests they think Shrishti may be involved, urging her to video call Tejas or provide his number. Shrishti retorts that she won’t obey their commands. She speculates that Tejas might have already returned to Kashmir. Arshi states she won’t contact him. Choton presses her, suggesting they need Arshi’s assistance to uncover the truth. Shrishti declares she doesn’t care about their opinions and feels wronged by their accusations. Anirudh emphasizes that a girl is missing, and her enemies could be close. She agrees to call him.
When she dials Tejas, he answers casually, asking how she is and commenting that it’s been a long time. She inquires about his location, to which he replies he is in Srinagar and questions if there is a problem. She mentions being at Arshi’s in-laws’ house, where they’re making baseless accusations against him. Tejas inquires why this is happening. Anirudh takes the phone, demanding to know Jhanak’s whereabouts. Tejas taunts him, implying that he should know and claims he heard Jhanak left “your cage” to be with Aditya Kapoor. Aditya presses Tejas for answers, and Choton insists he respond.
Tejas dismisses their concerns, stating he doesn’t know where Jhanak is and refuses to waste time searching for her, claiming she is merely a plaything for many men and that he has stopped caring about her. Anirudh berates him, while Shrishti adds that Jhanak is missing from her shoot. Tejas finds the situation strange, suggesting Anirudh should be more informed about her circumstances.
