Anupama 28th August 2024 Written Update
The episode begins with Anupama searching through Aadhya’s belongings in her room. As she finds their photo, she hugs it tightly and places it carefully in a diary. While flipping through a book, she discovers a letter. Reading it, Anupama learns that Aadhya had apologized for hating and hurting her so much. Aadhya expresses that after distancing herself, she realized how loving her foster parents were, even more so than their own children. She confesses that she missed them deeply and now loves them dearly. Aadhya prays that they will be her parents in the next life, uncertain if she will escape the current situation. Anupama, with tears in her eyes, says that Aadhya doesn’t know how difficult life has been without her, how much they miss her every moment, and how hard it is to breathe without her.
Meanwhile, Viren is trying to explain to Megha that there was a fight at the girls’ hostel, and the matter escalated to the police. He feels that if he doesn’t stay nearby, the police might think he has fled. Megha, frustrated, suggests they should have stayed behind, but Viren insists that he couldn’t leave them alone with Priya due to Megha’s condition. He believes it’s better for them to stay together. Aadhya silently thanks God for bringing her closer to her mother.
Anupama, overjoyed after reading the letter, whispers that she’s relieved to know Aadhya doesn’t hate her anymore. She couldn’t bear Aadhya’s hatred and vows to share this news with everyone, saying that her dear child doesn’t hate her after all. Just then, Viren, Megha, and Aadhya return home. Megha, visibly upset, instructs Aadhya not to unpack as they might need to leave at any moment, telling her to go to her room. They open the door cautiously, sensing something off.
Back at the Shah house, Baa is seen instructing Kinjal to ensure everything is prepared correctly—fresh water in a new glass, dry fruits on the tray, and tea made with milk. Kinjal reassures Baa that everything is done. However, Baa is worried that Vanraj isn’t around. Toshu volunteers to handle things, but Baa taunts him. Toshu insists that he can manage as the eldest son, while Kinjal feels bad for Meenu.
Back at Megha’s house, Megha and Aadhya see a shadow and feel frightened. Megha grabs a vase and, in her panic, pulls back a curtain to reveal only a teddy bear. She hugs Aadhya, still shaken. Anupama, who had overheard them entering, quickly hides in a cupboard. Viren checks the house and finds an open window, suspecting that someone tried to break in. The security guard enters and informs them that a delivery person had brought milk and groceries, but there was no sign of a break-in. Viren checks and confirms that their cash and jewelry are safe in the almirah. The guard then mentions that a woman had come asking about them, but left after learning they weren’t home. Megha immediately suspects it was Anupama and accuses her of coming to steal something. Viren defends Anupama, noting that she’s a renowned chef and wouldn’t do such a thing. Aadhya, realizing that her mother had come for her, decides to try and calm Megha by suggesting that it was Kanha ji’s wish for them to celebrate Janmashtami there. Megha decides to dress Aadhya in a lehenga she had made for her. Anupama, still hidden, worries that she might be discovered.
Meanwhile, the groom’s parents express concerns about the fact that their prospective daughter-in-law’s brother-in-law is staying as a ghar jamai (a son-in-law living with the wife’s family). Baa tries to defend this arrangement, but the lady remains unimpressed. Titu, however, explains that he loves Dimpy and Ansh and doesn’t want to separate them from the family. He argues that if a daughter-in-law can live with her in-laws, why can’t a son-in-law? Baa then asks Kinjal to call Meenu, while Sagar looks on, pained by the situation.
Aadhya and Megha head to Aadhya’s room, where Megha stumbles. Aadhya, worried, makes her sit down and then opens the cupboard, finding Anupama inside. An emotional Aadhya decides to help her mother and purposely tears the lehenga. She then tells Megha that the lehenga is ruined, making it impossible to wear. Megha, determined, says she will mend it and leaves the room. Aadhya quickly locks the door and helps Anupama out of the cupboard. They share a heartfelt hug, with Anupama showering kisses on Aadhya’s face. Megha, meanwhile, notices the torn lehenga and suspects it was done intentionally. Aadhya apologizes to Anupama for her past behavior, acknowledging that she had been wrong and that God had punished her for it. She begs Anupama to take her away, promising never to misbehave again.
Anupama reassures Aadhya, saying they need to plan carefully to get her out. She asks if anyone has harmed her, and Aadhya says no, but explains that Megha is unstable and sees her deceased daughter Priya in her. Megha has threatened to take her own life if Aadhya leaves. Anupama, worried but determined, tells Aadhya to bring Megha to the Janmashtami celebration, where the crowd will make it easier for her to act. She promises to protect Aadhya and asks her to write down her phone number, but Aadhya says she already has Anupama’s pamphlet.
Megha begins knocking on the door, demanding that Aadhya open it. Aadhya, anxious, asks Anupama not to leave her alone. Anupama assures her that she isn’t leaving for good but needs to find a way out. She encourages Aadhya to stay strong and opens the door. Megha questions why Aadhya took so long to open the door, and Aadhya excuses herself by saying she was in the washroom and trying on the top. Megha notices her swollen eyes, and Aadhya quickly makes an excuse. Megha, still suspicious about the torn lehenga, confronts her, but Aadhya dismisses it, saying she didn’t like the color and asks if she’ll get another one. Megha agrees and leaves to prepare food for Aadhya.
As soon as she leaves, Anupama emerges from the cupboard, apologizing for leaving Aadhya for now but promising to take her back to her father soon.
