The episode begins with Aaji stating that Ranvijay is correct. Vaiju lights the Akhand jyot. Ranvijay and Vaiju sit beside the diya, and he tells her to go home since no one is watching her. She replies that she cannot leave her mannat incomplete. He expresses his disbelief, and she asserts her belief in it. They engage in a conversation, and she mentions that they should do a few things sincerely. She reminds him that he referred to her as his wife and called her Vaijanti Ranvijay Mohite Patil, asking if he can grant her all the rights of a wife. He looks worried, and she reassures him, saying she was just joking. Ranvijay questions why she feels so connected to him and this relationship, knowing he can’t offer her anything. She admits that she knows he can’t, but she doesn’t desire anything; the fact that he hasn’t stopped her from maintaining her relationship is a significant gift to her. He wipes her tears, and they both share an emotional moment, reminiscing about their time together as the song “Paas aaye…” plays. She mentions that she will fetch oil for the diya, but as she does, the diya falls and breaks. Ranvijay notices and becomes worried, carefully holding the broken diya. Vaiju sees his concern and becomes anxious.
He reminds her that it’s her mannat diya. She takes the wick and places it in a new diya, adding the oil while tending to his injured hand. They share a smile. The next morning, Ranvijay wakes up, troubled by his inability to resist his feelings. He seeks out Vaiju and asks Aaji about her whereabouts.
Milind arrives to pick up Vaiju for her exam revision, causing Ranvijay to feel anger and pack his bag. Aaji tries to stop him, but he insists he is leaving and tells her to inform Vaiju. She persuades him to eat before he goes, and he reluctantly agrees. Meanwhile, Kaveri and Jaya discuss their husbands, with Kaveri sharing stories of past fights that make her emotional. She tells Jaya that she knows how much she loves Ranvijay and encourages her to hold on to that love.
Milind and Vaiju return home, laughing and joking. Aaji approaches to intervene, instructing Vaiju to look at Ranvijay and takes her over. Ranvijay is rude and confrontational, prompting Vaiju to ask him to stop and inquire about what’s bothering him. He insists that he has stayed long enough and should leave now. Confused, she asks what her mistake is. He forcefully tells her to release his hand, causing her to fall and hurt herself. He quickly apologizes, and she reassures him that she is fine, stating that fate has already caused her enough pain. He tells her that she no longer needs him, as she has someone else, suggesting she should just marry Milind. This shocks her, and tears fill her eyes.
