Jagriti 6th October 2024 Written Episode Update
The principal informs Jagriti that he will allow her to get admission to the school, but she needs to obtain a permission letter from Kalikant. Jagriti agrees.
Later, the principal goes to meet Kalikant at his home. Kalikant, surprised by the visit, asks the principal why he has come. The principal explains that a Chitta girl came to the school seeking admission. He adds that he made it clear to them that they must obtain Kalikant’s permission. The principal then pleads with Kalikant not to allow a Chitta to attend the school, claiming that they are born criminals, making derogatory remarks. Kalikant becomes furious upon hearing this. He orders his henchman to summon Durjan, demanding to know how Durjan could allow a Chitta girl to even attempt getting admitted to school. Kalikant’s henchman calls Durjan and instructs him to come to Kalikant’s house immediately. Durjan agrees, and Kalikant sends the principal away.
Durjan angrily confronts Harish for taking Jagriti to the school for admission. He scolds Harish, asking how he could think that Kalikant wouldn’t find out that a Chitta girl was trying to enroll in school. Durjan sternly tells Harish and Jagriti that he won’t let the entire community suffer for their mistake, then leaves in frustration.
Ballu comments to Harish that this is the first time Durjan has gone to Kalikant’s house alone and throws in some remarks about Harish and Jagriti. Jagriti, confused and upset, asks Harish what wrong she has done to make everyone so angry with her.
A police inspector later arrives at Kalikant’s house. Kalikant criticizes the inspector for allowing an outsider to influence a Chitta and inspire her to pursue education. Kalikant performs a symbolic act by washing his hands and forcing the inspector to drink the water, telling him that this is his first mistake and letting him off with a warning while making disparaging remarks.
Kalikant then speaks to Durjan and criticizes him for allowing a girl to show signs of rebellion. He accuses Durjan of giving Jagriti too many chances, noting that today she even tried to get admitted to school. Kalikant reminds Durjan that he could destroy the entire Chitta community with just one signal. Durjan, desperate, begs Kalikant not to punish the entire community. He promises to crush Jagriti’s hopes and stop her from thinking about school. Kalikant reminds Durjan that he failed to keep his promise from a few years ago when he vowed to keep the Chitta in line. Kalikant comments that Durjan has failed, and then demands that Durjan take responsibility. Durjan, in shame, pulls out a hair from his mustache and places it on his hand. Kalikant blows it away, mocking Durjan, saying his pride is as worthless as the hair that was blown away. The police inspector, standing by, complains to Kalikant that Geeta is protecting Jagriti, and he asks what he should do. Kalikant dismisses the matter for the moment and leaves. Durjan, humiliated, receives a blank letter from Kalikant with his signature, approving Jagriti’s admission, as Kalikant’s henchmen mock him.
Later, Kalikant calls Solanki and informs him about Geeta’s involvement with Jagriti. He instructs Solanki to do whatever is necessary to keep Geeta away from the Chitta and makes further dismissive comments.
Meanwhile, Jagriti tells Harish that once she is educated, no one will be afraid of a Chitta, and everyone will begin to respect them. Bindi interrupts, making snide remarks, and urges Jagriti to stop thinking about education. Bindi also reminds Harish of the consequences that the idea of education has brought to their community in the past.
