Megha Barsenge 6th October 2024 Written Update
The episode begins with Manoj getting arrested. Megha and her family pray. She says, “Arjun, you here…” Arjun replies, “You defeated Manoj.” Megha responds, “That’s the only way. Once I get a divorce from him, I can start my life fresh.” Arjun says, “You don’t need me now.” She replies, “No, you’ve helped me a lot. Thanks for encouraging me. Are you coming to the court?” He says, “I will always be there for you.” The matarani chunri falls on them. Megha and Arjun look at each other. She goes to pray and brings aarti for him. He smiles at her.
He imagines her. *Aye dil hai mushkil*… plays in the background. He returns home, checks the newspaper, and seems lost in thought. Navjot observes him and looks on. He goes upstairs, while she sits there, clearly angered. Megha and her family arrive at the court. Surinder asks Megha to come and questions, “Who are you waiting for?” Megha says, “Nothing.” Manoj arrives and grabs her hand. She says, “Leave my hand.” Surinder interrupts, “Not here.” Manoj says, “I want to talk to Megha right now.” He pulls out a knife. Surinder asks, “What’s this?” Manoj replies, “This is not to attack you. I will cut my wrist, leave me.”
Navjot asks Shagun to stop. Shagun threatens to shoot herself. Navjot shouts for Arjun. Shagun refuses to take her medicines. Arjun calms her and asks her to take them. Shagun resists, saying, “No.” Manoj says, “You still love me.” Megha responds, “No, you don’t even have the courage to end your life. I will make sure you’re punished.” Arjun snatches the gun from Shagun’s hand. She says, “You’re going to leave me and go.” He replies, “No, I’m not going anywhere.” He hugs and consoles her.
Megha states, “I can’t live with this animal anymore. I want a divorce.” Manoj says, “I want to say something.” He begins to cry. Arjun says, “Mom went to sleep. How did she get an attack now? Did the medicine dosage get too high?” Navjot recalls angrily giving Shagun the medicines and says, “No, I found the pills on the floor. I picked them up and gave them to her. Maybe I gave her a double dose, but she always sleeps after having more medicine. Perhaps she’s becoming more unstable due to aging. Do you need to go somewhere?” He replies, “Yes, but I will stay with mom until dad arrives.” Manoj says, “Whatever Megha said, it’s all true. I admit my crime.” Kohli and Kavita are shocked.
He adds, “Megha has also hit me.” Megha says, “I did that in self-defense.” Manoj continues, “My dad also tortured Megha. He deserves to be punished. Punish me for domestic violence, but I will separate from my parents and live with Megha. She’s just angry, that’s why she’s asking for a divorce. I told her I’d cut my wrist, and she stopped me because she still loves me.” Megha responds, “What nonsense!” Manoj’s lawyer says, “You decide now.” Megha’s lawyer asks, “Who would want to stay with such a shameless man?” The judge turns to Megha and asks, “Will you forgive him?”
