Mera Balam Thanedaar 27th August 2024 Written Update
The episode begins with Vardhan announcing that they have arrived. Sulakshana, holding an aarti plate, asks them to wait. Kaveri places a kalash at the door while Sulakshana tells Bulbul that she wasn’t present during her initial grah pravesh and that she’s always wanted to perform it. Bulbul, touched, says, “I have such a sweet and loving Maasa.” Sulakshana playfully tells her not to flatter her and assures her that she won’t let her go anywhere now. She instructs Bulbul to go to her room and rest, but first asks her to complete the grah pravesh ritual. Bulbul kicks the kalash and steps inside. Vayu then asks Vani to come along, but Vani expresses her desire to visit her doctor. As Veer approaches Vani, Sulakshana asks him to escort Bulbul to her room, assuring him that they will take care of Vani. Veer leads Bulbul to the room.
Once inside, Bulbul admires the room’s beauty. Veer reveals a surprise and pulls back a curtain, unveiling a large photo of them as wallpaper. Bulbul is delighted, calling it beautiful. Veer reminisces about how he used to be a logical, rule-following IPS officer until she came into his life and brought happiness, color, and beauty into it. She teases him, saying he started doing good things in her company. Veer jokingly tells her to find someone else to praise her, then excuses himself to change clothes.
Bulbul, touched, caresses his photo and softly says, “Thank you, thanedar sa.” She notices his Dexa scan report and decides to keep it safe. As she moves, she accidentally slips, causing the papers to scatter. Veer, having changed his clothes, steps out and teases her, saying the room doesn’t feel like hers until she’s had a small mishap. He begins to gather the papers, but before he can look at the report, Bulbul quickly snatches it away. Veer then advises her to get some rest.
Meanwhile, Vardhan praises Bulbul in front of Sulakshana and Vishesh, highlighting her bravery in fighting terrorists like Meethi Mai and saving her husband and the country. Sulakshana agrees, noting that they must protect her from anyone’s bad intentions. Vishesh receives a call and steps away.
Later, Bulbul wakes up to find Veer holding her hand while sleeping on the floor. She reflects on wanting to tell him something during the Prom night and wonders why she couldn’t do it today. Gathering her courage, she begins to say, “I love you,” but then notices he’s awake and decides to trick him instead. She continues, “I love… God, because He blessed me with this family and thanedar sa, even though he’s arrogant and lectures a lot.” Veer, surprised, asks if he gives her lectures and if she set up the whole moment just to say that. Bulbul, pretending to be uninterested, turns away without saying anything more.
Sulakshana, admiring the Kanha ji clothes, comments on how nice they are. When Bulbul enters the room, Sulakshana immediately asks why she’s out of bed, insisting that she should return to her room and rest. Bulbul playfully protests, saying that it’s Krishna ji’s birthday and instead of resting, she should be helping. She jokingly accuses Sulakshana of wanting to do all the work herself just so she can complain later. Sulakshana, playing along, says, “I’m the victim mother-in-law here,” and teases Bulbul about how she rides her scooter like a pilot. Bulbul laughingly calls her out, saying, “What a lie! I do all the housework, and sometimes I feel like you’re more of a school teacher, giving me grades on the blackboard—sometimes a 6, sometimes a 2 out of 10!” Vardhan chimes in, saying he enjoys witnessing their cute banter. Sulakshana retorts that she always feels outnumbered and plans to even the odds by getting Vishesh and Vayu married, forming her own team. Bulbul humorously claims that Sulakshana will never find a daughter-in-law as good as her and lists her qualities. Sulakshana adds one more quality—understanding—and praises Bulbul, saying there’s no one like her and no one could ever take her place.
Vishesh announces that he’s leaving for Haridwar to pray for Shikha’s death anniversary. Sulakshana asks him to return in time for the Janmashtami puja. He agrees, looking somber as he hugs Varnika, as if hiding something, before departing. Bulbul, sensing something, asks Sulakshana if Vani jiji ever wanted to be a doctor. Sulakshana confirms, saying that if it weren’t for a certain person entering her life, Vani’s dreams would have come true, and she would be a doctor now. She reflects on how one mistake ruined Vani’s life. Bulbul then asks, “What if that person were to re-enter her life?” Just then, Vani arrives, playing with Vyom, and confidently says, “If I don’t become a doctor, then a doctor will recognize me.” Sulakshana sternly declares that she won’t let Vani make the same mistake again. Vani, undeterred, insists, “My doctor will come,” and asks Bulbul to bring him. Bulbul agrees, saying, “I’ll bring your doctor.” Veer, overhearing, intervenes, “No, Bulbul. Don’t even joke about this.” He instructs Vayu to take Vani back to her room. As Vani leaves, she continues to insist, “My doctor will come.” Varnika takes Vyom to play. Veer, addressing Bulbul, warns her not to mention that person again, stressing that false hope will only hurt Vani. Vardhan tries to reassure Veer, saying that Bulbul’s words were meant to comfort Vani and that she won’t actually bring the doctor. However, Bulbul thinks to herself, “Thanedar sa has such mixed feelings about this person. He likes him but also hates him. What will happen when he finds out that Dr. Jain is Vani’s doctor?”
