Lavanya vents her anger on Deepika, accusing her of not having a place of her own and questioning how she can help others when she doesn’t even have an identity in the Mittal house. Omkar steps in, defending Deepika by stating that she does have an identity in the house as the elder daughter-in-law, and the house equally belongs to her. He praises Deepika for her good manners, noting how she invited her mother and grandmother to have dinner with them. Lavanya retorts that Deepika spoke against her. Omkar clarifies that Deepika only voiced her opinion. Chirag supports Deepika, saying it’s her strong morals that allow her to tolerate Lavanya’s behavior. Lavanya accuses Deepika of turning the entire family against her. Deepika, in a calm manner, offers to apologize to Lavanya if it helps resolve the family issues and promises to do as Lavanya says.
Lavanya then challenges Deepika, asking if she would leave her son and the house. Deepika remains silent. Chirag attempts to intervene, but Deepika signals him to stay quiet. Omkar points out that Lavanya’s demand is unreasonable and that Deepika was rendered speechless by such an unlawful request. Shobha suggests that Lavanya should continue mistreating Deepika as she always has. Omkar warns Shobha to stay out of it. Jahnvi steps in, stopping Shobha and pleading with Lavanya to allow Deepika to stay in the house. Lavanya, seeing this as the first request from her new daughter-in-law, agrees to let Deepika remain but on the condition that she never opposes her decisions again. Deepika reluctantly agrees.
Later, Deepika thanks Chirag for his silent support. Chirag becomes romantic, but Deepika shyly points out that someone might see them. He assures her that no one is around. However, as they share a moment, Jahnvi walks by and, feeling jealous, pretends to slip and fall, crying out in pain. Deepika, concerned, tells Chirag that someone really is there, and both rush to help Jahnvi. Jahnvi insists that Chirag lift her and take her to her room. The family gathers around. Chirag points out that Prithvi is always there to help her, and Prithvi eventually carries Jahnvi. However, Jahnvi demands to be dropped off in Chirag and Deepika’s room instead. Prithvi obliges and leaves, commenting that it’s their suhagraat. Deepika diplomatically suggests that Jahnvi should rest there for the night.
Jahnvi makes Deepika press her feet, which annoys Chirag. To free Deepika from the task, Chirag distracts her with another chore. Jahnvi thinks to herself that Chirag may have saved Deepika this time, but he won’t always be able to protect her. The next morning, as Jahnvi gets ready for her post-wedding ritual, she realizes that her jewelry is missing. She immediately suspects Shobha and Manorama of stealing it and vows to punish her mother. Later, Lavanya performs the ritual for Jahnvi and gifts her expensive jewelry. Lavanya then presses Jahnvi to provide an heir soon. Omkar, overhearing this, remarks that they have always given equal rights to all their children and suggests that Lavanya should be asking her elder daughter-in-law and son for an heir. Lavanya coldly responds that she doesn’t consider Deepika as her daughter-in-law at all. Deepika calmly says that just like a lotus grows in the mud, she will fulfill her duty, assuring Lavanya that she will receive an heir from her elder son. Chirag, however, is visibly angry upon hearing this.
