Megha Barsenge

Megha Barsenge 1st October 2024 Written Update

The episode begins with officers asking Megha and everyone to leave. Arjun urges them to go. The officer says, “Arjun, there will be consequences for what happened here. Come to the enquiry chamber.” Arjun replies confidently, “Sure.” Megha, concerned, says, “I wanted to reveal the truth. Did it cause more harm? Your job shouldn’t be at risk.” Arjun reassures her, “I won’t lie. Whatever decision they make, I’m okay with it.” Talwar instructs Arjun to go inside, and Arjun agrees. Megha prays silently.

The officer remarks, “This shouldn’t have happened. It’s bad for the entire department.” Suddenly, a glass falls and shatters. Talwar observes the scene as Megha, frightened by the shattered glass, recalls, “Bua ji said breaking glass is a bad omen.” The officer continues, “This has never happened before, sorry but…” Just then, Arjun emerges. Megha, anxious, asks, “What happened?” He looks around, seemingly searching for his dad. She insists, “Answer me.” He finally smiles and reveals, “No dismissal, just a warning and 30 days suspension.” Megha, relieved, says, “So your job is safe.” He nods, and she beams with happiness.

Talwar approaches and holds Arjun. Arjun, grateful, says, “Everything’s fine because of you.” Megha begins to cry, and Arjun hands her his kerchief. She wipes her tears, and Arjun praises her, “You did something incredible.” Megha, still emotional, responds, “I got the courage from you. You did so much for me. I should be thanking you.” Talwar interjects, “Arjun, go home. Your mom’s been praying for you.” Arjun nods, “Yes, but Megha and I have a little work.” Megha agrees. They head to the police station, where Surinder and Ranjeeta are present. Megha informs them, “I went for Arjun’s enquiry.” Surinder, concerned, says, “I told you not to go. Did you lie about being married to Arjun?” Arjun apologizes, explaining, “Megha told the truth about Manoj’s abuse and saved my job without lying. She’s amazing.” Megha, looking remorseful, adds, “I’m sorry, but I felt this was necessary.” Arjun affirms, “I think it’s time we go inside and close Manoj’s chapter forever.” He asks Ranjeeta to send the FIR copy to the women’s commission office. He adds, “I’ll build a case against Manoj in Georgia. He won’t come back.” Surinder responds, “Leave the case to us now. You’ve done enough. It’s time to listen to your family. You know what they think about Megha, and it could complicate things further.” He leads Megha away as Ranjeeta departs.

At home, Arjun brings coffee for Talwar. He asks, “What’s the matter?” Talwar, looking weary, says, “You should have someone to enjoy coffee with. I don’t feel like going to the office anymore. There’s no motivation.” Arjun, feeling guilty, says, “I’m sorry.” Talwar replies, “I know, but should I tell that to my department? I’ve worked hard for my position. I had ambitions. I could’ve become DGP, I had a real chance.” Arjun, concerned, asks, “What do you mean?” Talwar clarifies, “What happens to you affects all of us. I’ve worked to save this family. I even went to Megha’s house and requested her parents. The credit goes to her. She stood up and saved your job and our family. But I don’t think I’ll get the DGP promotion now. My career is at risk because of you.” Arjun, feeling the weight of his father’s disappointment, grows silent as Talwar leaves. He glances at the newspaper.

At Megha’s home, Ranjeeta, surprised, asks, “What’s all this?” Megha, gathering Manoj’s gifts and photos, burns them. Tears stream down her face as she says, “I need to rid myself of this past burden. I feel lighter now.” Meanwhile, Arjun’s mother massages his hair, trying to comfort him. She says, “Don’t take your father’s words too hard.” Arjun, still troubled, asks, “You knew he was upset?” She nods, “Yes, I’ve been lost in my own thoughts. People are talking…” Arjun interrupts, “No,” and hugs her tightly. She glances at the newspaper and comments, “Megha has ruined everything. You had to lie because of her. Tell me the truth, is there something between you and that woman?” Arjun, defensive, says, “No, her name is Megha. She’s not some abandoned woman.”

Later, someone knocks at Megha’s door. She checks, but no one is there. A box is left behind. Goldie asks, “What is it?” Ranjeeta, curious, tells Megha to check. Megha opens the box and finds a note. It’s from Manoj. Along with the note, there’s a phone inside. When she switches it on, her anger flares as she sees a video of her and Manoj’s wedding night. Everyone around her is left in shock.
