Do Dooni Pyaar 1st October 2024 Written Episode Update
The episode begins with Ritu and Akshay arriving for their *grahpravesh*. Ritu excitedly says, “Finally, I will become the official *bahu* of this house.” Akshay stops her, saying, “Wait, my mother should do the *aarti*. She will handle our *grahpravesh*. I am Hema’s son, and Ritu is her *bahu*—she will do it.” Ritu, trying to brush it off, says, “Leave it, let’s just go inside.” But Akshay insists, “My mother is here.” Ritu, noticing the camera, says, “The video recording is on, don’t make a face, everything will be fine, come on. Both moms are here, it’s okay.” Akshay, still firm, replies, “No, it’s not okay. You don’t need to interfere in my matters. Stay out of it. My mother will do the *aarti*, no one else.” Ritu feels disheartened. She recalls dreaming of a grand *grahpravesh*, imagining money notes flying in the air.
Ritu thinks to herself about becoming the queen of the house. Just then, Neha asks Akshay to come inside. But Kalyani interrupts, saying, “Wait, how can Ritu enter first? Ganga will come in first.” Ritu and Lalita are taken aback when they see Ganga arriving in a decorated car with Abhay, who looks despondent. Kalyani’s mind flashes back to her request for Abhay to give Ganga another chance. She smiles as she sees them. Ritu becomes furious. Lalita comments, “Now, Ganga won’t return home to do the household chores.” Kalyani and Hema proceed with the *aarti* for their sons and daughters-in-law, while Dadi smiles in the background. Ritu, however, is seething with anger, thinking about how Ganga’s husband is a doctor. Kalyani announces that Ganga and Abhay’s *grahpravesh* will take place first. The ritual is completed for Ganga and Abhay, leaving Ritu fuming. She mutters, “I can’t tolerate this.” Lalita advises her, “You’ll have to endure it. We’ll deal with her later.” Ganga steps inside the house with Abhay. Hema then performs the *aarti* for Akshay and Ritu, welcoming them.
As Ritu enters the house, Ganga recalls Kalyani’s earlier words. Kalyani retrieves the *shagun* and hands it to Ganga, asking, “What does this marriage mean to you?” Ganga responds, “It’s a partnership, a promise to support each other and correct our mistakes. I want to continue my studies, and with Abhay being a doctor, he can help me achieve that.” Kalyani probes further, “What else?” Ganga tearfully says, “Marriage is a sacred bond for me, like Shiv and Parvati’s, meant to last a lifetime. I want to preserve it, not break it.” Kalyani listens and then asks, “Okay, but if you go back to the ashram, how will you maintain this relationship? A bond grows stronger when you fight for it. Marriage isn’t a game. You said you don’t want an annulment—who can break it if you stand firm? Ganga, if you stay away, you’ll lose not just the relationship but your name as well. You’ll lose this fight.” She hands Ganga the *shagun* with a smile. Ganga, overwhelmed, cries tears of joy. The flashback ends as Kalyani looks at Ganga.
