Jhanak 28th September 2024 Written Episode
The episode begins with Arshi expressing her frustration, saying, “I stayed here because your mom and dad requested me. I’m not rude like you, so I stayed back, but now I’ve had enough.” Tanuja supports Arshi, telling Anirudh, “You have to face the consequences. We’ve managed to keep Arshi here with difficulty, but how long can you deceive her and expect her forgiveness? She’s ready to go to the police, and if that happens, we’ll stand by her.”
Anirudh confidently replies, “She’s free to go to the police if she wants.” Dadi intervenes, saying, “We need to come to a decision. Anirudh, you can’t keep standing between two worlds. Arshi is heartbroken, your family is disappointed, and that other girl is controlling everything. You’re prepared to abandon your entire life for her.” Anirudh defends his actions, saying, “She was unwell, and I felt it was my responsibility to be there for her.” Shrishti retorts, “She isn’t family.” Anirudh, looking frustrated, responds, “According to you, she’s close enough to be.”
Arshi, visibly upset, asks, “Do you enjoy arguing with my mother?” He tries to explain, “That’s not the case. We could’ve discussed this privately.” Arshi says, “I wanted to talk in the room, but everyone was coming.” Tanuja asserts, “I’m your mother, I have a right to be there.” Shrishti adds, “And I’m Arshi’s mother. I have the same right.” Vinayak had wanted to speak privately, but the conversation escalates.
Arshi demands, “I can’t handle another woman in your life. Tell me, if I had betrayed you, would you continue this marriage?” Shrishti backs her up, saying, “The marriage didn’t even feel complete.” Anirudh responds, “Regardless, our relationship has progressed. I promise, I won’t let you down.” Arshi, not convinced, says, “I don’t need empty promises anymore.”
Elsewhere, Mrinalini scolds Choton, making him feel disheartened. He remarks, “You respect everyone else but always scold me. I won’t take it to heart.” He offers to inform the family about her plans. She dismisses him as “stupid,” but he insists she share her feelings. Mrinalini pushes him to complete his graduation through correspondence, and although reluctant, Choton eventually agrees.
Back in the family confrontation, Tanuja advises Arshi to talk things over with Anirudh. Arshi expresses her frustration about the unfulfilled promises, especially the one about moving abroad. Anirudh clarifies, “Others have gone in my place.” Shrishti chimes in, accusing him of avoiding his commitments. Tanuja questions, “Is this the life you promised her?” Anirudh, torn between his obligations and emotions, remains silent.
Meanwhile, Mrinalini tells Choton, “You must finish your graduation.” When he hesitates, she reassures him, “I will help you, and once you complete it, we’ll be on the same level.”
Back in the main house, Arshi tells Anirudh, “You promised we’d go abroad. Now, I’m insisting we do it.” Anirudh reluctantly agrees to consider her demands, but Shrishti steps in, “We don’t believe you anymore. Write down your promise so we can hold you accountable.” Anirudh, shocked by the ultimatum, agrees to put it in writing.
Tanuja presses further, suggesting that Arshi test Anirudh’s loyalty. Arshi says, “I won’t deceive you, but if I had, would you still be standing here?” Anirudh, realizing the gravity of the situation, admits, “You’re right. This is my fault.”
Bablu, seeing the tension, tries to lighten the mood, but Anirudh is visibly strained. He reveals, “I couldn’t sleep. I was at the hospital with Jhanak.” Arshi, suspicious, asks, “Why did she call you?” Anirudh explains that she was gravely ill. Shrishti questions whether Anirudh saved her life, to which he humbly replies, “I’m not a doctor or a magician, it was her willpower that kept her alive.”
As tensions rise, Arshi declares, “I’ll be coming with you to the office tomorrow.” Anirudh agrees, saying he will fully commit to her. However, Tanuja interrupts, casting doubt on his promises. Anirudh sarcastically taunts her about Shubh, but he eventually agrees to write down his pledge.
Dadi attempts to calm the situation, telling Anirudh, “It’s good that you’ve realized your mistakes.” Bablu, noticing Anirudh’s exhaustion, encourages him to rest, but Arshi continues pressing him for reassurances. She insists that Anirudh put in writing that his relationship with Jhanak is over. Tanuja, doubting his sincerity, questions whether his words hold any weight.
In a moment of reflection, Anirudh expresses his willingness to make amends, even if it costs him his life. His emotional outburst leaves the family stunned, with Appu tearfully asking, “How will I live without you?” Anirudh comforts her, but it’s clear that the weight of his actions is taking its toll.
As the episode concludes, Anirudh makes a final declaration, “Don’t bring up Jhanak’s name in this house anymore.” He promises to set things right and leaves, determined to fulfill his obligations to his wife.
