Jhanak 26th August 2024 Written Episode
The episode begins with Anjana and Anirudh urging Bablu to have some tea. Bablu, however, is in a hurry and declines, saying he’ll have tea later. Anirudh then brings up the topic of Appu’s marriage, reminding Bablu that she is his elder sister and he wants to help with the arrangements.
Bablu, dismissive, tells him it’s not necessary. Anirudh insists, saying it’s okay and that he’ll just check the door. When he opens it, he’s surprised to see Jhanak standing there. He asks, “You here? Did you forget something?” Jhanak responds, “I’ve forgotten many things here.” Shubh immediately reacts, asking her how she dares to come there. Bablu, noticing her discomfort, asks if she’s okay. Jhanak reassures him that she’s fine. Tanuja then asks if someone called her over, but Anjana denies it, saying no one did. Arshi, surprised, asks, “Jhanak… why are you here? We met just two days ago, and you didn’t mention that you’d be visiting.” Jhanak explains that she has something important to say.
Anirudh, not wanting to engage, tells her he doesn’t want to talk to her and that she shouldn’t expect a warm welcome. At this moment, Choton arrives and, seeing Jhanak, invites her in, congratulating her on a recent dance performance he saw on TV. He insists she’s their guest and shouldn’t be left standing at the door. Lal and Bipasha, however, scold him for his hospitality. Shubh, on the other hand, tells Jhanak that she’s not welcome and orders her to leave.
Arshi, frustrated, says she may have to call her mother now because of Jhanak’s audacity in coming to her in-laws’ house without permission. She pointedly asks Jhanak if she knew about this important matter before. Jhanak admits that she didn’t know earlier. Arshi presses on, demanding to know what’s so important. Bipasha, clearly irritated, tells Jhanak that Anirudh isn’t interested in talking to her and asks what her problem is. She harshly accuses Jhanak of being unsatisfied with one man and questions why she’s returned to this house. Anjana, noticing the tension, urges Jhanak not to tolerate such insults and to just say what she came to say. Jhanak insists she has come a long way to deliver an important message. Anirudh sarcastically tells her she can say it right there. Arshi adds that he’s married to her now and that Jhanak has no right to talk to him privately. Jhanak, confused, asks what new rule Arshi has made. Arshi, getting more agitated, asks, “How dare you?” Shubh then threatens, asking if they need to physically remove her from the house.
Bablu steps in, suggesting that Jhanak say what she has to in front of everyone, noting that it’s probably a good thing she came before Appu’s marriage. Jhanak, surprised, asks, “Appu’s marriage?” Anjana, sensing an opportunity, says she wished Jhanak could stay for Appu’s wedding, as no one here seems to listen to them. She suggests Jhanak stay as her relative, reminding everyone how much care Jhanak took of Appu. Shubh, however, disagrees, asking if she will make the decisions now. Bablu argues that it’s not just her house and that they also have a right to welcome their guests. Frustrated, Arshi declares that if Jhanak stays, she will go back to her parents’ home.
Anirudh, growing more irritated, taunts Jhanak about Aditya. Jhanak, ignoring the jibe, insists that she needs to talk to him, saying it’s important for him to know what she has to say. Anirudh, however, remains adamant that he doesn’t want to listen. Desperate, Jhanak pleads with him to at least hear her out. Lal, meanwhile, makes snide remarks to Bablu, who tells him to be quiet, reminding him of how much Jhanak cared for Appu. Jhanak then gathers her courage and finally says, “I have to tell you something very important.” Choton, sensing the tension, encourages her to speak quickly, knowing they won’t let her stay long. He even offers to book a hotel room for her. Anirudh, impatient, tells her to just say it. Jhanak takes a deep breath and drops the bombshell: “You’re making a mistake. I’m sorry, I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings, but the truth is… I’m pregnant with your child.” Anirudh is left stunned, as is everyone else in the room. Jhanak, tearing up, insists that it’s true. Anirudh, however, accuses her of lying and lashes out at her, calling her disgusting. They argue, with Jhanak demanding that he take responsibility and insisting he can’t just ignore the situation. Shubh, feeling vindicated, reminds Anirudh that he had warned him about Jhanak, saying she would eventually show her true colors. He offers to handle the situation and send her away. Jhanak, however, stands firm, stating that the truth cannot be hidden. Anirudh, furious, orders her to leave, accusing her of playing a dirty game.
Choton, however, defends her, saying she wouldn’t have said such a thing if it wasn’t true. Bablu also questions why she would come all this way just to say something untrue. Anirudh, feeling cornered, asks if they don’t believe him. Anjana speaks up, saying that if what Jhanak says is true, then he must take responsibility. Choton adds that Jhanak wouldn’t lie about something so serious and believes she’s telling the truth. Anirudh, however, vehemently denies it, claiming he’s being framed and that Jhanak is trying to ruin him.
