Anupama 26th September 2024 Written Update
The episode starts with Anupama telling Anuj that he waited for her for 26 years and loved her deeply, a love she couldn’t even imagine. She reflects on how, once they were together, their everyday life, challenges, pains, and arguments overshadowed those 26 years of love. She tells him that he rushed into marrying his long-standing love, but now, it feels like trying to fix something broken, and if they try to repair it, they might end up hurting themselves even more. She suggests letting things remain as they are and questions why they need to give a name to their relationship. Anupama confesses that she loves him a lot but can’t bear to hurt him and Aadhya. She admits that she is afraid of the idea of marriage and of herself. She apologizes, and tears roll down her face.
Anuj, understanding her feelings, says that he is sorry too. He admits that he spoke hastily, but also that it wasn’t entirely his fault—he was only responding to her asking him to say something. He tells her that just as she has the right to refuse, he has the right to wait for her, even for seven lifetimes if necessary. He says he will take it as a blessing from Kanha ji, but he will never stop waiting for her. Whether she stays with him or not, he promises to keep ready the groom’s attire and sindoor, so that when she’s ready, he will be at her doorstep. He declares that he wants to be with her, and if that means staying as they are, then so be it. He says, “Anuj is always here for Anu with open arms.” Anupama hugs him, moved by his words.
He teases her, calling her a strange woman who will eventually agree to marry him. They laugh, and he playfully suggests that they should just stay as girlfriend and boyfriend and make the world jealous. Anupama smiles and says she didn’t expect him to talk like this. Anuj reminds her that she’s left quite a scene outside and asks her to come back out.
Meanwhile, Sagar is upset and regrets not telling Anupama the truth about him and Meenu. Anupama approaches him, and Sagar immediately apologizes. Anupama asks him to swear truthfully on her head, promising that he will keep Meenu happy, respect her family, and make himself worthy of her. Sagar sincerely swears on her, assuring her that he will fulfill all her conditions and that he will work hard to become suitable for Meenu. Anupama advises him to focus on his career first and assures him of her support, as long as they aren’t in the wrong. Sagar, touched by her words, touches her feet in respect. Bala, Nandita, and Indra express their support for Anupama’s decision. Sagar asks about Meenu’s family, and Anupama tells him that while he may have to fight for his love, it should not be against the family. They embrace, and she reassures him that they’ll figure everything out in due time.
The next morning, everyone is awakened by the song *Dulhe Ke Sehra*. Anupama brings Sagar and Meenu in front of everyone. Dolly, confused, asks what is happening. Anupama reminds everyone that amidst all the chaos from yesterday—the fights, arguments, and tears—one thing was left unresolved: the theft. Baa immediately demands to know who tried to steal her jewelry. Anupama calmly reveals that it was Toshu. Toshu, shocked, denies it and asks how she can accuse him without proof. Anupama clarifies that if she had proof, he would already be in jail. She explains that Sagar had gone to fetch a pillow, and Meenu had gone to get cough syrup, but Toshu wasn’t there to get a mosquito bat—he had gone there to steal.
In the precap, Anupama is seen reading a contract while looking at Anuj, with a song playing in the background. Meanwhile, everyone is searching for Meenu. Dolly asks Anupama where she is. Just then, Sagar and Meenu enter, wearing garlands, revealing they have gotten married, leaving everyone in shock.
