Jagriti 25th September 2024 Written Episode Update
The episode begins with a villager holding Harish’s hand as he hangs precariously from the cliff. The villager struggles to pull Harish up. Jaggu prays for her father’s safety and pleads with the villager not to let go of Harish’s hand. She ties the villager’s leg with a rope, attaching the other end to a horse and instructs it to pull. The horse moves back, successfully dragging Harish to safety, but he clutches his back and cries out in pain before fainting. Jaggu calls out to him.
Ballu notes that Harish had gone hunting but suggests he may have become prey himself. Durjan arrives and questions why the villagers didn’t go hunting, then orders them to assist Mangla and Bindi with their tasks. Ballu defends their inaction, claiming they’ve just returned from an important task. Just then, Jaggu appears with Harish on the horse. The villager explains that Harish fell into the valley. Durjan questions how that could happen, and Ballu speculates that he must have been drunk. Jaggu insists he wasn’t drunk. The villager adds that Harish’s backbone might be broken, rendering him unable to stand. Mangla lashes out at Jaggu, blaming her for the incident.
Bindi tries to comfort Jaggu, telling her not to take Dadi’s words to heart, and urges Durjan to call for the healer, Vaid ji. Durjan agrees to summon Vaid ji. Meanwhile, Ballu and Nanda attempt to stir animosity against Jaggu and Harish. Ballu claims Harish may never stand again and argues that the Chitta Basti has suffered greatly due to his actions, bearing the cost of his medical care. He warns that if Harish receives treatment, people will accuse Durjan of favoritism. The villager asks Durjan for permission to call Vaid ji.
Jaggu grabs a birdcage and declares her intention to earn 100 Rs, stating that her father’s treatment won’t be a burden. She sets off, and Bindi rushes after her to stop her. Jaggu enters the jungle, making bird calls in an attempt to lure the bird into the cage. When successful, she heads to the road to sell it. A potential buyer tries to negotiate, but she insists on 100 Rs. The buyer comments to someone that the girl doesn’t realize the bird is quite valuable. Spotting the police approaching, he quickly flees on his bike.
The police confront Jaggu, questioning her about selling a bird openly under Sardar’s rule. She explains her need for 100 Rs from the sale. They offer to get her the true value of the bird and instruct her to come with them.
Meanwhile, Akash chases a rabbit, but his Dadi scolds him, claiming the rabbit is troublesome. Akash defends it, calling it Chiku, while his Dadi and brother mock him. He eventually captures Chiku. Ganga emerges, and Pandey along with another constable arrive, saying they are there to meet Sarkar since Jaggu was selling an exotic bird, which is why they brought her to Sardar. Ganga calls Jaggu closer. Pandey identifies Jaggu, declaring that she is Chitta.
Akash recognizes her and mentions that she saved Chiku. Ganga inquires why she saved Chiku. Jaggu replies that harming someone is wrong, which is why she helped it. Ganga questions why she tried to sell the bird. Jaggu explains that she wanted to earn 100 Rs so the bird could have a proper home. Ganga binds her hands with a gold chain, and Jaggu protests that she feels suffocated. The constable questions what proof they have against her. Ganga retorts that proof has never been a requirement. Realizing her mistake, Jaggu apologizes to the bird and releases it. Akash hugs Ganga, who asks what’s wrong. Jaggu begins to explain her need for 100 Rs when Kalikant suddenly arrives. Pandey indicates that Kalikant should take a look at Jaggu.
