Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 21st September 2024 Written Update
The episode begins with Manish asking Abhira if he can have the honor of performing her kanyadaan. She smiles and responds that it’s not something to ask for—of course, he will perform her kanyadaan. Manish, emotional, thanks her and embraces her. Swarna looks on with a fond smile. Meanwhile, Ruhi, in a car, says to herself that she’s on her way to see Armaan. Armaan, concerned, asks Vidya to stop, but she walks away. Dadi gives Armaan some curd to eat and wards off any bad luck. She reassures him that Vidya will come and tells him not to worry. Armaan nods, trying to stay calm. Madhav steps in, telling Armaan it’s a big day for him and to stay positive—he promises to talk to Vidya and bring her back. Manisha, meanwhile, instructs Shambhu to get everything to the wedding venue, and they all leave.
Rohit notices that Ruhi hasn’t returned from the parlor and receives a message from her: *I’m getting a gift for Armaan and Abhira, I’ll meet you at the venue.* Rohit sighs, thinking to himself that Ruhi always seems to be avoiding him. Sanjay chimes in, asking how Dadi managed to win. Dadi, wise as always, says it’s impossible to win every game without tiring oneself out. She adds that Vidya’s anger towards Abhira is strong, and she can’t afford to lose Armaan, as the family, especially Rohit, needs him. She reflects that while she lives by certain principles, she prays for their future—hoping that they will gain something today, even if it means Abhira may face a loss.
Ruhi arrives at the temple, while Madhav tries once more to convince Vidya to come to the wedding. Vidya, upset, refuses, stating that Armaan no longer needs her—she’s just his stepmom, after all. Tearfully, she says that Armaan has made her feel like an outsider. Madhav tries to reason with her, reminding her of how important the day is for Armaan, but she insists she can’t bear to watch him make this mistake. She tells Madhav to go enjoy the wedding and be ready to dance in the baraat. Madhav, defeated, warns her that holding onto hatred will only destroy the family and their happiness, and then he leaves.
At the temple, Ruhi prays to Matarani, declaring that she will marry Armaan today and nothing can stop her. Meanwhile, Abhira talks to Akshu’s picture, feeling the excitement as she hears the baraat approaching. She peeks outside and sees the festive procession making its way toward the venue. Shambhu, among the crowd, watches Armaan closely. Everyone dances joyfully to the song *Teri hui* as Armaan misses Vidya, wishing she would join them. Abhira and Armaan join the dancing, enjoying the moment.
In a brief moment of imagination, Armaan envisions Vidya dancing with him. Meanwhile, Ruhi is busy making preparations for her own marriage. As the baraat reaches, Manish performs Armaan’s aarti, but Swarna is still worried about where Ruhi has gone and tries to call her. Manish, continuing the wedding rituals, jokes about pulling Armaan’s nose as part of the tradition. Abhira laughs at the playful ceremony. Manish pulls his own nose, tricking everyone, while Krish accuses him of cheating. Manish laughs, saying Armaan is truly a “Dilwala” (man of heart).
As Armaan enters the venue, Abhira nervously asks herself if she looks good, thinking how handsome Armaan looks today. Meanwhile, Ruhi takes a selfie, saying she looks great and that she will marry without her family being present. Swarna helps Abhira with her final touches, and Abhira thanks her for everything. Swarna blesses Abhira, wishing her happiness with Armaan.
The pandit asks Armaan to wash his hands as part of the ceremony. Madhav, still disappointed, informs everyone that Vidya hasn’t arrived despite his efforts. Manoj optimistically says that Vidya’s love will surely bring her there. Vidya, meanwhile, is alone with Armaan’s photo, hugging it and crying.
Armaan washes his hands, and Krish jokes about hiding his shoes, warning him that Manish will try to steal them. Armaan jokes back, agreeing that Manish is too fit to be caught. He hands over his shoes and washes his hands again, his mind wandering to Vidya. Meanwhile, Vidya talks to Armaan’s photo, lost in her emotions.
Back at the venue, the announcement is made that the bride is arriving. As Armaan prepares, Shambhu stops him momentarily. Abhira enters the venue, looking radiant, and everyone smiles as *Yeh Rishta* plays in the background.
