Rabb Se Hai Dua

Rabb Se Hai Dua 21st September 2024 Written Update

Ibadat wakes up, finding herself on the floor. She realizes her phone is off and says to herself, “I forgot my charger in Subhan’s room.” She heads over to his room, saying, “I left some things here and just need to grab them.” Subhan nods without looking at her. As she collects her belongings, she says, “It’s your wedding day, so you should get ready. Otherwise, they’ll blame me for delaying you,” and walks out. Subhan, watching her leave, thinks to himself, “She keeps tugging at my heart.”

The wedding begins, and Mannat enters the lounge as the bride. Gulnaz asks, “Where is the groom?” Kaynaat replies, “He’s getting ready.”

Subhan, dressed as a groom, ties his turban. He reflects, “I’m marrying the love of my life, but why don’t I feel happy? Not even anyone here to help with my turban.” He calls for Sufi, but Ibadat enters instead, holding flowers. She says softly, “My prayers are with you. My love may have ended, but I hope your love flourishes. Let me tie your *sehra*.”

Subhan, irritated, responds, “Your prayers are full of ill intent. Go away.”

She replies, “You never kept your promises, but let me fulfill mine.” He asks, “What promise?” She reminds him, “You forget everything… even people. I promised to tie your *sehra* when you marry the one you love. I still want to be part of your happiness, even if it breaks me.”

Subhan retorts, “I don’t want you in my happy moments.” Ibadat, holding back her pain, says, “Why don’t you look happy then? Just be faithful to Mannat.”

She continues, “We may be strangers now, but we can still support each other.” Subhan, growing more frustrated, says, “You’re just trying to shame me. I’m leaving a liar like you to marry Mannat, my love, so I’m proud and happy.”

Ibadat responds, “If you’re so sure, let me tie your *sehra* as promised.” He, challenging her, says, “Go ahead then, do it.” He sits down. Ibadat, fighting back tears, ties his *sehra* while Subhan watches her, then looks away, emotional but determined not to show it. He wipes his tears and says, “These are happy tears. I’m getting my love today, and freeing myself from someone like you.”

Ibadat, with a heavy heart, says, “I pray for your happiness and protection.” Subhan coldly replies, “You were the danger in my life. I don’t need protection anymore.”

She warns him, “Mannat could become the greatest danger in your life.” Subhan, unmoved, says, “You were my biggest pain, and today I’m getting my childhood love and leaving you behind.”

Ibadat, quietly accepting, says, “Then I’m happy. I always wanted your happiness, and I’ll continue to pray for it.” She finishes tying the *sehra*, and when he asks if she got pricked by a thorn, she responds, “I can no longer tell the difference between flowers and thorns. Just be happy.” She leaves the room, her sadness evident.

Kaynaat enters and asks Subhan, “Why did you let Ibadat tie your *sehra*?” He dismisses it, saying, “It meant nothing. It was her wish.” Kaynaat warns him, “Don’t let that evil girl near you. Throw it away; she may have done something to it. If you don’t, it’ll cost me my life.” Subhan, startled, says, “Don’t talk like that,” and throws the *sehra* away. Kaynaat tells him, “Come down soon and make sure you’re smiling.” She leaves.

Subhan arrives at the wedding without a *sehra*. Mannat smiles at him, and they exchange looks, but Subhan seems distracted. Mannat tells him, “Don’t think about Ibadat.” Hamida, watching, thinks to herself, “He’s a fool for not realizing that his heart belongs to Ibadat.”

Meanwhile, Sufi and Armaan spot Kashaf at the wedding. Armaan, excited, approaches her and says, “You look beautiful.” He introduces her to Gulnaz and Kaynaat, and they take her to meet Subhan and Mannat. Kashaf, a bit confused, says, “Wasn’t there another girl claiming to be his wife earlier?” Mannat quickly responds, “You were mistaken.” Kashaf apologizes and walks away.

Kaynaat anxiously asks, “Where’s the priest?” Gulnaz reassures her, “He’ll be here soon, don’t worry.” Subhan, lost in thought, doesn’t move until Mannat urges him to sit with her. He remains unresponsive.
