Mangal Lakshmi 20th September 2024 Written Episode Update
The episode starts with Megha insisting that they need to see a doctor. Arjun, however, asks her to bring an alcohol bottle and a cloth instead. She fetches them, and he pours the alcohol over his wound while she tightly ties the cloth around it. Megha tears up seeing his pain. Arjun, trying to lighten the mood, asks her if she’s seen *Sholay* and other movies, joking that he took a bullet for her and wants to be the hero. He laughs and says, “Sorry, I’m helpless. Are you going to slap me?” Megha, concerned, says, “Enough with the jokes, come with me now. I won’t listen to anything else.” Arjun, noticing her burn, insists on applying ointment to it. She tells him he’s gone mad, saying, “You can’t even handle seeing my burn, but you’re so hurt.” He reassures her, “Yes, but my sense of humor is intact. I’m fine.” He grabs the ointment and begins applying it to her burn. Megha watches him as *Yeh Dooriyaan* plays in the background.
Arjun puts up some curtains on a rope for privacy, and Megha goes to change. Afterward, she offers him a sandwich. They both eat, smiling at each other, and comment on how delicious it is. They recall their shared moments, but the peace is interrupted when Megha gets startled by a rat and hugs Arjun in fear. He laughs. Meanwhile, the inspector locates them and orders his team to head toward the cottage.
Arjun, already weak, suddenly faints. Megha panics and pleads with him to open his eyes, saying, “We’re going to the hospital. Don’t be stubborn, get up!” Arjun, trying to speak, reminds her that her freedom and their fight against injustice will only happen if she’s out of jail. He warns her, “Think about what Manoj did. If he wins, no woman like you will dare to fight for her rights.” But as he passes out again, the police arrive and arrest Megha.
Arjun suddenly wakes up in a hospital bed, shouting Megha’s name. He looks around in confusion, muttering, “What did you do, Megha?” Shalini enters and asks if he’s okay. Ignoring her question, he urgently asks, “Where is Megha?” She tries to calm him down, explaining that he just had surgery. Desperate, he insists, “Tell me, where is Megha?” Shalini reveals that Megha had brought him to the hospital while he was unconscious. A flashback shows Megha struggling to get Arjun to the hospital.
Upon their arrival, the doctor notices Arjun’s gunshot wound and says he’s going to call the police. Megha, crying, pleads, “Okay, but please save him first.” Shalini then informs Arjun that Megha was arrested after surrendering to the police. Arjun reads a letter left by Megha, and his eyes fill with tears as he yells, “No!” Shalini explains that this happened three days ago and that Megha’s trial is today. Frustrated, Arjun shouts at Shalini, “What are you doing here? I can’t let anything happen to Megha!”
As he attempts to leave, the doctor intervenes, trying to stop him, but Arjun refuses to be held back. The inspector arrives, asking him to stay calm. Shalini then reminds him, “You’re also guilty of helping her escape. You’re a civil officer. While you won’t be jailed, you will be deported.” Arjun, not caring about his own fate, asks, “What about Megha?” Shalini promises to fight her case and handle the charges. She pleads with him to cooperate, but Arjun refuses, declaring, “I’m not leaving without Megha.”
In court, Megha is brought in, and Manoj and Amy are present. Manoj, taunting her about Arjun, smirks arrogantly. Megha, remembering the torture she endured, snaps and throws a glass at Manoj’s face, injuring him.
