Kumkum Bhagya 19th September 2024 Written Episode Update
The episode begins with the judge asking Neha (also known as Nethra) if she is content with the marriage decision. Neha responds that while she is happy, she’s unsure about the purpose of this marriage. She wonders if the marriage is merely a tactic to change the court’s decision or if it’s truly happening. She explains that she knows RV could have been arrested today, but the engagement was rushed by Poorvi. She questions whether the engagement and marriage are real or just a ploy to save RV from punishment, leaving her confused. Jassi, Monisha, and others observe her performance.
The judge turns to RV’s lawyer and requests him to call his client to testify. The lawyer informs the judge that RV is already present. RV steps into the witness box. The judge asks RV to speak the truth and mentions that Neha seems worried and uncertain. She asks RV if he genuinely wishes to marry Neha. RV briefly looks at Poorvi, who also looks at him. The judge asks RV again if he’s marrying Neha of his own free will. RV’s lawyer advises him to answer the question.
RV finally responds, stating that he never imagined marrying Neha, and it was never part of his dreams. He admits that he wasn’t initially ready for this marriage, but he trusts his wife, Poorvi, and his family. He reveals that they collectively decided on this marriage to make things right after all the wrongs that have occurred. This, he says, is the reason behind his decision. Neha’s lawyer presses RV, asking whether he truly wants to marry Neha. RV remains silent for a moment before finally answering that he will proceed with the marriage.
RV’s lawyer tries to intervene, but the judge cuts him off, instructing him not to cross-examine his client further. At this point, Harleen stands up and asks the judge for more time for her son. Dadi also supports the request. However, the judge dismisses their pleas, stating they can submit their arguments in writing during the next hearing. Harman and Vikrant urge Harleen and Dadi to sit down.
The judge, continuing from the last hearing, acknowledges that it’s a good sign that RV and Neha got engaged. However, due to the unique nature of the case and Neha’s visible concern, the judge declares that the engagement alone is not sufficient. She mandates that the marriage must be completed within the next nine days. The case will be heard again on the tenth day, after the marriage. Monisha and Jassi are pleased with the judge’s decision. The judge then adjourns the court. Harman remarks that at least RV wasn’t arrested. Harleen mutters, “Nine days.”
As everyone leaves the courtroom, Poorvi notices Jassi and mutters his name in suspicion. Neha, noticing her, taps her on the shoulder, reminding her of the judge’s verdict. Neha suggests they start planning the wedding and organize the sangeet for the next day. Poorvi, however, remains distracted, thinking if it was really Jassi she saw and wonders where he disappeared to.
Back at home, Jassi, Monisha, and Sahil celebrate the judge’s ruling. Jassi smugly remarks that RV is trapped now. Monisha agrees, saying Poorvi couldn’t prevent it. Sahil notices Neha looking uneasy and asks why she’s worried. Neha confesses her concern that the wedding might actually happen. Jassi reassures her, joking that she’ll marry her boyfriend, and he’ll even tie the ghatbandhan. He reminds Sahil that they have the sangeet tomorrow and suggests they start dancing in celebration. They all dance as Jassi envisions Poorvi separating from RV, and him whisking her away for good. Monisha grins.
Later that night, Poorvi and RV lie awake, unable to sleep. The song “Khamoshiyan” plays in the background. RV finally tells Poorvi he’s thirsty and asks for water. Poorvi gets up and hands him a glass. As he drinks, RV expresses his wish for Poorvi to always be the one giving him water. Poorvi assures him it will happen. RV, still in disbelief, asks again, “Forever?” Poorvi promises him, “Forever.” She reminds him to rest since the sangeet is the next day. RV feels a sense of dread in his heart, wondering what is going on and why he feels so sad. Meanwhile, Poorvi feels an unbearable pain, pondering how she’ll manage without him.
RV prays to God, asking for strength, admitting that he’s come to rely on Poorvi and that she’s truly good for him. His heart aches at the thought of marrying Neha. Poorvi, on the other hand, can sense RV’s inner turmoil and reassures herself that they’ve both made adjustments for each other. RV continues thinking about Poorvi, wishing for her to remain by his side forever.
The next morning, Yug knocks on their door, waking up Poorvi and RV. Yug asks if they’ve been sleeping. Confused, RV asks what’s going on. Yug insists they come downstairs. When they arrive, they see Neha inside, orchestrating wedding preparations. Neha greets them cheerfully, calling Harleen “mom” and asking if she had prayed for her and RV at the temple. RV, perplexed, demands to know what Neha is doing in their home.
Neha, unbothered, explains that she’s organizing the decorations for the wedding. She chats with the decorators about floral arrangements and lighting, mentioning that the house should feel welcoming and sacred. Harleen, annoyed, asks who invited her, and why she’s decorating the house. Neha nonchalantly tells her to relax, explaining there’s a lot of work to be done, including organizing the sangeet, haldi, and the wedding itself. Just then, Vaishali walks in, and Neha, ever the actress, sweetly greets her, suggesting she go shopping while Neha handles the decorations. Monisha arrives and asks what’s going on, to which Neha sarcastically asks if she’s a member of the family. Poorvi stands quietly, observing the scene.
