Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 19th September 2024 Written Update
The episode begins with Abhira and Armaan in tears, feeling trapped and suffocated. “Is lamhe kya kar jaun…” plays in the background as they run towards each other, but their dream shatters. Morning arrives, and Dadi instructs the servant to take away the haldi. Madhav, Vidya, and Sanjay are on calls with relatives, informing them that the marriage has been called off. Manoj insists they shouldn’t let the marriage fall apart. Dadi points out that it was Abhira who ended it, and Armaan remains silent. Krish suggests they should talk to Armaan. Ruhi advises against interfering in the elders’ matters, but Kiara insists they need to speak to him. Rohit disagrees, saying Armaan doesn’t seem concerned about the marriage and should be finding a solution rather than staying quiet. He notices Armaan in tears and comments that if Armaan truly cared for Abhira, he wouldn’t have given up so easily. Charu defends Armaan, saying he has always supported her, but Rohit argues that this is the time to stand by her, yet he has stepped back. Armaan wipes his tears and leaves, bumping into a servant and catching the haldi bowl. Manisha notes that Armaan caught the haldi. He recalls everyone’s comments. Manish states the marriage is off, while Suwarna expresses sympathy for Abhira. Surekha says it’s not Abhira’s fault and mentions how Kaveri and others blamed her.
Abhira enters and thanks everyone for bringing her home, but she announces that she must leave for Mussoorie and can’t stay back. She apologizes. Armaan arrives as the servants drop flowers, which fall on both Abhira and him. Armaan begins riding a bicycle around her, saying she thought their story would end with a phone call, but he has realized what his heart truly wants: Abhira. He declares he won’t leave, and they’ve come too far to lose now. He reassures her that they will find happiness even without children. Manish and the others smile, but Abhira tells him to stop and leave. Armaan calls out to her, asking for permission from Manish to explain things his way. Manish agrees, and Armaan declares that he will fill her life with his love forever. He requests the elders to turn away, which Manish finds amusing. Surekha agrees, and they turn their backs. Armaan rubs haldi on his cheek and then transfers it to Abhira’s cheek by rubbing their faces together. “Aahatein…” plays in the background. He smiles and wishes her a happy haldi. The family turns back and applauds. Armaan announces he will be waiting for his bride tomorrow at 8 and not to be late, then he leaves.
Dadi asks where Armaan went. Rohit responds that he saw Armaan leaving with the haldi, and Vidya asks why he didn’t stop him. Armaan returns, riding a bicycle and smiling. Krish points out that Armaan left in a car. Armaan explains that his car broke down, so he borrowed Bablu Kiranawala’s cycle, but assures them he didn’t steal it. He asks the servant to take care of the bicycle and jokingly asks if no one will congratulate him, saying his haldi ceremony is now complete. Manoj and Manisha smile, while Rohit and the group are also pleased. Dadi, however, scolds him, asking if he’s lost his mind. Armaan insists that Abhira is his happiness. Dadi calls Abhira selfish, to which Armaan retorts that it’s actually Dadi who’s being selfish. She shouts his name in frustration, but Armaan calmly tells her that while he understands she wants him to be happy, it’s only on her terms. He states he doesn’t care about having a baby with Abhira and that her expectations will remain unfulfilled.
Meanwhile, Manish comforts Abhira, reminding her that marriage is about more than just becoming a mother. Abhira worries that Armaan will regret marrying her. Manish assures her that Armaan is capable of making his own decisions, and she shouldn’t try to control his life. Abhira insists that having a baby is important, and Manish agrees, adding that children are indeed significant. He shares his own experience of losing his children. Dadi warns that Abhira will lose her peace and happiness if she goes through with the marriage. Armaan, however, declares that he cannot exist without Abhira. Dadi urges him not to be foolish, saying he’s avoiding the truth, but Armaan counters that she’s the one running from reality. He firmly states that Armaan and Abhira’s marriage will happen.
